Traditional hotel by the sea. Service (Reception) not so good. Breakfast o.k., but service in breakfast room poor. Food not replenished quickly. Eggs and bacon cold. Bathroom without window smelt a little. Very small but trendy pool.

Hotel location is easily reached by bus no 1 from Livorno central station (bus stop just across the hotel). Livorno central station itself is well connected to Pisa airport. Although you need bus connection from Pisa airport to Pisa train station, the bus is quite frequent and it is a short ride. Just make sure you have cash with you... More

Brilliant hotel in all departments, rooms are large, clean and airy. Have used this hotel for all my visits to Livorno in the past 12 months. Bar staff are pleasant and knowledgable of the local and surrounding areas. Kitchen staff always have a fantastic smile and warm welcome the morning, setting the mode for a great business day. Reception make... More

The bedroom, pool and the hotel in general were all very good. The thing that lets this hotel down is the food. We ordered wine and pizza on our first day with high expectations as we looked out at the gorgeous view. The wine arrived and was served well. However, when the pizza arrived it was cold in the middle.... More

Very comfortable hotel in good location overlooking the sea. Clean, well furnished, good sized room and excellent bath and shower. Very good breakfast with good choice of hot and cold options. Staff very helpful. Enjoyed my stay.

Myself and my husband went for three nights for our anniversary. We booked this hotel because it looked a bit special and romantic. it didn't disappoint. The hotel was Italian style with a modern twist in places such as the bar and resturant. Inside the lobby and the breakfast area it is more traditional Italian design. It has been maintained... did you ever carry your suitcases into a 5 star hotel yourself? we did. here. thr receptionist was a poor person, handling ALL incomming calls and solving problems, while trying to check us in and solving some other peoples creditcardproblem. i guess everybody else was taking a break or having lunch or being busy with more important things. finally we... It's a modern hotel in a historic building. Modern in the sense that the room feels redesigned rather than updated and historic in the sense that Marconi and Mascagni worked there or close by. Very comfortable, and spacious, room. Helpful and pleasant staff. Quiet. Lovely views of Mediterranean from room, sea walk across the street. As Livorno itself is strung... More

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Palazzo during May to celebrate our anniversary. We pre-booked on the Internet and everything we had read lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Judging by some of the reviews and photos I'm sure there are some people who only look for bad things rather than enjoy the best Livorno and this... More

The air conditioner is controlled by the Hotel, so when we stayed there, it was turned off at 10p or 11pm...our room was hot, so opened window, but lot of noise and bugs flying in. Also our bathtub drain was broken, so we were unable to take a bath; Other than that, its a beautiful hotel.
