Where to begin.. Our wedding was being held locally to Fiesole, needing accommodation for some of our 145 guests. The Aurora seemed a safe bet. I couldn't have been so far off the mark if I had tried. From having the hotel ringing up, canceling rooms on our guests a week before their trip. (rooms they had already booked in... more

The hotel is just magnificent! We booked the 2 nights in early July. The staff is veru nice and you can't get a better position with a georgeous view of florence. In this old villa you can find peace and consolation that you will never find in the city. I will highle recomend this hotel to my friends more

Stayed 2 nights here last week in room # 34 on the first floor. Great views of Florence, comfy beds, pleasant staff and reasonably priced. They're doing some major renovations on the rooms as of March 19th so be warned that it's a bit of a building site outside during the day. I'd definitely stay again. One minor gripe was... more

My husband and I stayed here at the begining of October. We paid the top price for a room with a beautiful view over Florence, which was well worth the extra. The staff on the desk were really helpful, but the manager was rude and just didn't seem interested in customers. The restaurant was shabby and over priced, though most... more

We stayed at the Aurora 25-26 Sept, 2006 and loved it. Through pure luck, we had room #31 with a small balcony and the most breathtaking view of Florence you can imagine. Absolutely unobstructed view of the entire city from horizon to horizon- it was so stunning, we bought pizza our second evening there so we could sit on the... more

We stayed here for 2 nights (on either end of a hiking tour). The breakfast is allright but overall, the hotel is not very clean. The reception desk was not helpful at all. The small patio out back (overlooking Florence) was scuzzy to say the least. Awful. However, there were 2 restaurants across the street from the hotel (no hotel... more

My wife and I recently spent five nights out of eight days during Thanksgiving week at Hotel Villa Aurora in Fiesole and could not have been more pleased! The staff was especially accomodating and friendly to us as we were leaving for a few days in the middle of our stay and then returning for a final night. They gladly... more

Just 2 days before we left for a tour around Tuscany we read the scathing Villa Aurora review from the New Jersey couple. Their experience sounds terrible but it was not one we shared. We arrived with some concerns but found instead an individual, slightly idiosyncratic, independant hotel with a fabulous position overlooking Florence. It became for us an oasis... more

This Hotel was the most disgusting hotel ive been to ever! We booked 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. The place is falling apart. When we first entered, my wife and I were the only people in the place, it seemed abandoned. When we got to our room we were even more horrified, the carpet and the couch were... more

We have been going to Hotel Aurora since 1989 having chose it for its location high in the hills. It overlooks Florence on one side and the lovely town square on the other where Church bells softly announce the time. Queen Victoria stayed there and commented on the fantastic view of Florence and its Duomo from the terrace. We have... more
