Attended a wedding in Fiesole so wanted to stay locally. Having searched the net I picked this one as being in the lower available price range. All the hotels seem to be expensive! Although the room was adequate it lacked anywhere to sit and was tired looking especially for a 4 star hotel. We had to ask for extra pillows... More

We had a good recomendation to stay there, because it was a good hotel, and close to florence, but it wasn´t real, the hotel is old, the rooms has a bad smell, the bathrooms are umid, I´m allergic, so it was a bad experience. The prices are overhigh for what we have! The breakfast was good, and view of the... More

If you have a late afternoon transfer from Fiesole, you must check out around 10:00am and store your luggage...pretty standard. Just don't expect to be able to use a hotel bathroom because my group was not permitted to do so. Lorenzo, at the desk and usually very helpful, was downright nasty to me when I asked if we could use... More

Room was standard, clean, not huge, no wow factor. Had the worst view of a small dingy courtyard.Internet did not work in this room, had to go to lobby. How much time do you need to spend in a room anyhow though! Loved the view from the terrace dining, breakfast served here. Also had dinner at hotel, excellent meal, of... More

We arrived here upon my uncle's recommendation. They stayed here a few years ago for 90 euros per night. We were a little surprised to be charge 190 euros per night... The location is GRAND, with a pub next door, and a bus stop brining you to teh core of florence, just outside the door. Quiet location. We ate at... More

The Hotel Aurora is in a magnificent situation overlooking Firenze in the distance and in the small town of Fiesole. Sadly there seems no-one in charge and the staff are dis-connected. There are lots of stairs and no lift. No help with luggage. The food in the restaurant was not good and hardly anyone was eating there (not surprisingly). The... More

From the outside you would think the hotel has seen better days, and the reception and public rooms are scarcely better. But the bedrooms are beautiful with frescoed ceilings and the bathrooms have been expensively refurbed. The real glory however is revealed when the shutters of our room were folded back to reveal the most sensational view of Florence and... More

I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Villa Aurora and had an awesome time. It's really a beautiful little hide-away and the view alone is worth the price. I loved the modernized bathroom- everything was new and spotless. Great food and drinks at the bar and the restaurant is really high-quality. Easy bus ride in and out... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Villa Aurora in Fiesole and had nothing but pleasant experiences. This hotel is a prime example of how classic Italian hotels should be. It has a terrace bar with great food and wine. The service was awesome. We found ourselves at the bar each night before going to dinner just to sit and... More

Very disappointing. The place is firmly fixed in the 1970's. Would have gone out of business long ago were it not for its prime location in Fiesole overlooking Florence. Avoid. More
