Villa Fiesole is in fact a nice base camp, for this occasion up in the mountains, overlooking amazing Florence. We have stayed here for a week in August with our kids (16 and 13) in two adjoining rooms (one luxury, one standard room) in the old Villa. The rooms differ in size, but have beautiful high ceilings with fresco's. The... More

Stayed here for three nights last month to attend a friend's wedding at a nearby venue. The hotel is well located on the main road up to Fiesole and down to Florence. Fiesole itself is a mere 15 minutes uphill walk (much shorter on the way back down). The room was nice albeit lighting wasn't great. The AC was also... More

We found this hotel through an e-mail from Telegraph Travel and I am sooo happy that Mrs R followed it up by booking a four night stay at the Hotel Villa Fiesole. What a place, what a view! We got a taxi from the train station in Florence which was only €18 and found ourselves winding up the long road... More

The service, the food, the accommodations, and the view were wonderful at the Villa Fiesole Hotel. By the second evening the waiter knew just what i wanted in my glass. And the bus stops right at the driveway. Other great restaurants are within walking distance or a short taxi ride.

Dinner with friends on a terrace overlooking the whole of Florence. Traditional meal, antipasto of sliced salumni and cheeses served with small fried dough balls. Choice of pastas or soups followed by a choice of roasted chicken or beef. Dolce and choice of coffee, grappa or vin santo. Nice house wines very well priced plus a wine list. Everything nicely... We here stayed 2 nights. A very good location, easy to park the car, friendly staff. Room was good and clean. W can also recommend the restaurant where we had dinner the first night. Prices are fair, and you can sit both inside and outside. Breakfast is fine with lots of choices. The second evening we had finner in Terrazze... More

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights in late May. It was a wonderful experience in every aspect. The location with the view from the terrace from the hills over Florence is magical at any time of the day. Rooms very elegant and comfortable, nicely renovated to very high standards. No disturbing noise, only some lovely birdsong.... More

This is a special location with a great staff. After a sticky day walking the crowded streets, waiting in lines and climbing the stairs of the Duomo in Firenze, you can relax at the top of the hill with a great meal, a wonderful breeze and a cool drink on the terrace while overlooking the valley. The dinner was very... More

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Fiesole Hotel. The hotel staff are amazing, warm, service oriented people. We planned my 50th birthday party celebration and it was a beautiful evening with eight of our Italian friends who live in Florence. We were all very impressed with every moment of the evening. The food in the restaurant is excellent as... More

I just spent 4 nights here with my daughter. We arrived late in the evening and were shown to a room in the old part of the hotel. It was large but rather tired in its decoration, and I was disappointed given the photos of the hotel on TripAdvisor. I went down to the desk and told them I wasn't... More
