Firenze Suite is convenient located just a block east of the Duomo, in a quiet street near three small shops and an excellent, local restaurant around the corner. The friendly host will guide you, just ask. Firenze Suite from the 16th century is an experience in itself as a nicely renovated former convent school and then as a theatre. Each... More

Once you find this establishment you will have a well located base to explore a classic city. Not expensive, not cheap, minimal amenities with pleasant staff. Breakfast in your room was a nice touch. Parking convenient if you get to the front door in a nearby garage!

The photos don't lie - the lobby and rooms at this hotel are absolutely stunning. I believe Brelina (sp?) said that this was a former monastery; that would make sense. Check-in was relatively smooth, and the owners were kind. Unfortunately, the room I had confirmed had been given to someone else. We were given a comparable room, but considering I... More

I booked this hotel on the strength of the positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. The reviews are not wrong! We walked to the hotel from the station (about 15 mins). The outside is rather unassuming in a quiet mostly residential area. Inside the hotel is beautifully decorated. All hand-painted by a local Artisan. We were warmly greeted by Blerina who... More

Having read the previous glowing reviews about this truly memorable and charming boutique hotel and it's perfect hosts (not forgetting the great location). I feel it has all been said, just go there and have the experience of Florence from a perfect little hotel.

Perfect place to stay in Florence, only a few minutes from the Duomo and other major sites, but blissfully quiet. The rooms are large and well appointed with frescoed walls. The family that run the hotel were very welcoming, spoke fluent English and were very helpful. Breakfast was served in our room and it was fresh, tasty and a good... More

Lovely hotel. Rooms are well appointed and the staff was very friendly. It's located on a quiet, residential street but it is very easy to walk to all the majority of sites in Florence. Breakfast is served in the room and was the best I have had while traveling.

What a great location. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Reasonably priced for such a large room The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the breakfast was not very good, instant coffee and not the freshest croissants.

Staying at Firenze Suite was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The rooms were huge, beautifully decorated with incredible frescoes on the walls. The air conditioning and wifi worked perfectly and the bed was very comfortable. Blerina, who owns the hotel with her husband was so warm and kind. She even hugged us when we left which... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
