I love Firenze anyway but this was the perfect place to stay and every bit as fabulous as I had hoped it would be. LOVE breakfast in the room - and it was quality breakfast too Great location and the cafe bar opposite was brilliant too Gorgeous romantic room with everything you need Yes if you want to pick at... We stayed here for 2 nights in October and overall we were very happy with our stay. This is a beautiful and charming little hotel, located in a side road in the centre of Florence. The location was perfect for seeing all of the main attractions and only a short taxi drive from the train station. I emailed the hotel... More

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The rooms are decorated beautifully with painted high ceilings. The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean. They bring breakfast to your room every morning between 8am-10am. The breakfast was a sufficient breakfast which consisted of your choice of cafés, bread rolls, croissants, grilled ham and... More

We staryed at the Firenze Suite and had a great time with a great room. It was a bit challenging getting here, but worth the ride into the city to get there. We had a great room with a courtyard in the back with table and chairs which was very relaxing at the end of a long day of sightseeing.... More

We did not have much hope for this place as we drove deeper and deeper into Florence's older parts, guided by our car's GPS. Without this I think we would have still been looking! We arrived in front of this bland wall with only a door and two potted plants on either side of it and I remember asking my... More

In a city with plenty of fancy hotel chains, I would pick this hotel again in a heartbeat. The vaulted ceilings, beautifully appointed rooms (including a kitchenette in a cabinet, useful for wine an cheese in the afternoon), wonderful breakfast, and great wifi made this my favorite hotel of our Italian vacation which spanned multiple cities. Our room also opened... More

We spend 2 nigths at this hotel. Room was big and we likes a decor/wall painting. Location was probably the best plus for this hotel. Breakfast was ok, plus it served at your room. Airconditioning doesnt work well ( 1 st nigth we had fan in the room, however second nigth it dissapeared) No body wash provided , just a... More

Beautiful accommodation and such a helpful and pleasant staff member - she really went out of her way to make our stay special. The room was huge . My only comment would be that the mattress needs replacing but we still manged to sleep well . Location is ideal for major tourist attractions and the cathedral. It was quiet but... More

Great location, only 5 minutes from the the Duomo. The owners are very helpful while the rates for the very large rooms with18 foot fresco'd ceilings is a steal for Florence. Extremely clean, free wifi and 3 of the suites have garden access. I can't say enough good things about Firenze Suite! An amazing free breakfast delivered to your room.... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
