Dear Guest, thank you for your review. I will talk to the cleaning staff to improve the service but, I have to say, sometimes it is difficult to clean everything when the guests left a very messy room. It is also a lack of respect for people who are working. I apologize for the wi-fi, sometimes it gives signal problems,... More

Location: There were previous reviews which said that the San Lorenzo area is a bit on the "seedy" side of town. Definitely not true. The area is perfectly safe and walking distance to about everywhere (all the tourist things)! Lots of restaurants around, the Mercato Centrale is a block away, there is a great craft beer bar 2 blocks away,... More

Dear Guest, thank you so much for your kind review from all the staff. I agree with you, it is definitely a bad idea to drive in Florence, in the downtown most of all, it is a small city and you can reach everything just walking. Concerning the entrance and the lift, we are working to enlarge everything; there are... More

Currently renovating, but no noise. Beautiful bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Have two children (12 and 8) and single bedding for them was comfortable. Nice breakfast with lots for cold food options. Centrally located to all the main attractions and easy walk from the train station. Great value for money. Excellent Wi Fi in room. Highly recommend.

We booked this hotel at the last moment and we couldn't have asked for a better place. The location is perfect, it's within walking distance of all major sites, lots of restaurants and shops just steps from the front door. The are in the middle of a renovation and I'm sure when completed it will be even better!

We recently visited Florence for the first time! All in all it was a very good experience! The hotel played an important role in regard to our trip as a whole. Here are the positive things: A great location close to most major sights. A very friendly staff that spoke good English. A big room in quiet surroundings. Nice beds.... More

Unfortunately only had a single night here, but would have stayed longer if possible. It was a very comfortable hotel with large suites. A little bit hard to find, and extremely difficult to get a car there due to pedestrian zones, but totally worth it. The location is right in the middle of everything and you can walk anywhere you... We arrived at the station in Florence about 9pm but a mere 10 minute walk away we found our hotel, facing the Basilica di San Lorenzo. The hotel is in an old building which is currently undergoing major work but we were not affected by this in any way during our stay. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. Location:... More

Dear Guest, thank you for your detailed review. It is very helpful for us. You had one of the newest rooms and we need guest's feedback to understand what we can improve. For example we need, absolutely, to put some shelves in the bathroom and a mirror in the bedroom as you suggested. You know we have many rooms but... More

This, the second visit to this hotel did not disappoint in any way. Great staff and an excellent position by San Lorenzo with loads of food places nearby. The hotel, once you are in it, has large well designed rooms with excellent bathrooms. Breakfast is always good and the helpful staff a joy to meet.

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
