I stayed at this place for two nights in May 2015. Case Corsi was about a 5 minute walk from the train station. Lots of restaurants, convenience stores and even a laundromat close by. It was a bit tricky to find at first but once you figure out where the Hotel Club Hotel is, it's not too far past that.... More

Stayed for a week in December 2014. Roberta ( the owner) and other staff are absolutely fantastic and helpful. Atmosphere is very relaxed and home-like. Room is tidy and cozy, bathroom well equipped with all you might need. Very quiet regardles being located in the center. LOCATION IS JUST PERFECT. 1 min walk to bus station, railwaystation, 10 mil of... More

Great 2 days at Casa Corsi. Roberta was very hospitable. Room was comfortable and spacious as well as the bathroom. Had breakfast with Roberta on the first morning, and even got to spend some time with her daughter. Very homely B&B and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Florence. Very close to Santa Maria Novella Train Station and we... More

We chose "Casa Corsi" somehow by chance, because of a misunderstanding with another b&b, where they reserved for us a room for just one night instead of two. Eventually we decided to stay two more nights, and found a spare double room at "Casa Corsi". The place is in a very favorable position, three minutes' walk from the main railway... More

Unfortunately my experience with this hotel was not good. I was surprised because it had good reviews, however I cannot give them a good feedback. The hotel location is good, very near the main train station. The owner was very kind, however the room was not ready when we arrived, she was not present and left a person that only... More

Looks a little sketchy from the outside and a little tricky to find, but overall a great hotel. VERY close to train station and easy to walk to all the sights in Florence. The owner emailed me in advanced and asked when we were arriving at the hotel. We arrived at 10AM and she was there to meet us and... More

Roberta is really friendly and made me feel at home the minute I reached. The rooms are nice, the bathroom is clean and there is a pretty garden to sit outside. I got free breakfast at a nice patisserie close by. All in all, no complaints! A really nice place that is good value for money.

We had informed Roberta of what time we would be arriving so she was there to meet us when we reached. She is an extremely sweet and hospitable lady - gave us a map to Florence and offered us some delicious almond biscuits while we were sorting out the check in. She told us to feel at home and make... Spent 2 nights here and was very pleased. The rooms were big and beds comfortable and even though we shared a bathroom with the rest of the rooms it was fine. Roberta and her daughter were very nice and kept the place clean. It was fun at night gathering in the kitchen with other travelers from all over and hearing... More

This was my second trip to Florence and after an eventful stay at a bargain hostel first time around I decided to pay a little more this time. Hotel was lovely and very peaceful. Our room was in the garden in a separate building to the rear of the property so very peaceful despite being in the centre of the... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
