We went to Florence to enjoy this city so we didn't stay too much in hotel. Very good location lets you to reach all places you can want there. Duomo is just 5 mins walking from there. Friendly staff, good breakfast (nothing extra but enough) Rooms are clean and in good condition. MAYbe if we stayed longer we could complain... More

The hotel is located 5-10 minutes walk from Duomo and 10-15 minutes walk from SMN. It is in a building with a lift so no heavy lifting needed. The room is decent but definitely on the small side. If you stay in the economy double room, you cannot open 2 suitcases at the same time, in fact opening one is... More

This hotel is OK, clean though it needs maintenance, specially in the bathroom. Breakfast is good, though the second coffee has an extra charge. The walls are too thin, so you can hear everything from your "neighbours". But location is great, and when in Florence you do not stay all the time in the hotel, you just have a bath... More

Bed bugs were a myth to me before going to this hotel. I woke up and saw a tiny animal walking up the wall. I complained to the night manager, who knew exactly what I was talking about, but didn´t do anything about it because there were no other rooms. I thought I had already paid for 2 nights since... Strangely, La Venere is located on the third and fourth floors of a building in which is located another hotel (La Colomba). The location is great as one can easily walk to Florence's main attractions and city centre. However, the hotel has seen better days and could use a facelift in some of its room.

My friend and I spent a night at this hotel in late September and would definitely not recommend it. The room itself was very shabby with chunks missing from the wall and only one small window. The shower was very weak and hard to turn on. I found a spider crawling about my head when I went to sleep. Also... More

We stayed 2 nights in a triple bedroom. No doubt the location is great, near the station and convienient for food. One thing that this place can be improve is that the shower water pressure. The water its very little . If u normally need 15 min, please spare 25 min using their shower. Barely have any good shower for... More

I stayed one night here in late August 2013. It was very close to il Duomo and it was an easy walk to restaurants/cafes and the train station. The room was clean and pretty comfortable, though the bed was a little hard and the shower did not drain well. Breakfast was included and was mainly pastries. There was also fruit... More

Strange little hotel in the Leonardo to Vinci museum. Our room looked like a 1970s student flat in the roof behind the fire door. We shared with my husbands parents, our bed was ok but their bunk bed looked deadly as it was on a very strange angle and had a very scary looking itchy blanket. Our complimentary welcome tray...
