We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The style and decor was awesome and every room unique with character. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The only bad thing I have to mention is the comfort factor. The pillows are actually the worst if you prefer firm pillows. They are so soft that when you put your head... More

The Rodo Hotel was amazing - it was exactly what we were looking for. We booked the hotel after reading the reviews and wanted to be near the Duomo - we were RIGHT across from it! The location is touristy but you can walk to less busy areas really quickly! We stayed at Rodo for 2 nights (June 24 &... More

The staff here is amazing! Very welcoming and very friendly. We had an excellent stay. The location is great and the room was very chic. We arrived quite early so our room was not ready when we arrived, but they held our bags for us and made us cappuccino and offered us delicious pastries. When we came back later in... More

We stayed at the hotel from 24th to 26th June. Booked the hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor, and were absolutely delighted with our choice! The room was spacious, beautiful done; the bathroom was clean and nice; and the location is mind blowing, you step out and are right in front of the duomo! Our only issues were:... More

The staff was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. Location was in town and across from cathedral. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone visiting Florence. 5 star..

Absolutely perfect location. Having lived in Florence, I know it's difficult to find a hotel that is central, modern and affordable. The Rodo fits all those requirements and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The hotel is perfectly located at the heart of Florence, right by the Duomo. Room was spacious, clean and modern while maintaining the charm of an old building. Only downside is that you wake up at 6am with the Duomo's bells!

Came here on the recommendation of someone who had already stayed and glad to have found it did not disappoint. Without doubt, the biggest selling point is the location - right next to the Duomo in the heart of Florence. We walked past it so many times whilst we were sightseeing, which made it so convenient to pop in and... More

Great central location, extremely friendly service, nice clean rooms. Somewhat noisy area, but our sleep wasn't affected significantly. The terrace was a really nice place to enjoy a glass of wine and though their complimentary food wasn't great, the experience was still very pleasant.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
