Very friendly and welcoming staff in what is a very well run and organised boutique hotel. Don't expect any of the facilities of a large hotel - this is all about a great location (probably the best in Florence) with a lovely AC room to come back to in the evening. Our bathroom was "compact" but nonetheless efficiently designed. We... More

Not sure why this hotel has only 3 stars as I have stayed in many places with 4 that were not nearly as nice. Warm welcome. All the staff speak good English (but don't turn their noses up if you want to practise your Italian). Clean, air-conditioned, quiet room with everything we needed. Brits may want to choose a superior... More

My sister and I chose Rhodo Hotel when we where staying 24 hours in Florence. And it was great! It was a bit pricy for just one night, but that's how it is during the tourist season. What's cool is that all the rooms are differently designed and furnished. So they are all unique! Breakfast was included in our deal,... More

I absolutely loved this hotel! Our room was beautifully decorated, very clean and modern and had very comfortable bed. Great location within the city centre - so close to the Duomo and only moments away from all the other main sights! The staff were amazing - incredibly friendly and welcoming! Francesco was so helpful! He had great recommendations of places... More

Nice hotel in the centre of the old city. The staff were very helpful as we had a car with us and they arranged for a local garage to come to collect it and return it to us the next day. We would go back

The location couldn't be better, the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable and the terrace is a beautiful place for a glass of prosecco in the afternoon. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff. When we arrived - with two tired children (1y and 4y) and three hours before the actual check-in-time - we where met by... More

Loved the location of this hotel! In the heart of a magnificent tourist rich area. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only recommendation that I would offer future guests would be take a taxi and not drive to location.

A great property in a location that can't be beat! The only downside was the tapas and breakfast that we were told were free when we checked in where charged to us at a very high rate when we checked out

We had an amazing time, the hotel is located one block from the Duomo, the rooms were beautiful, modern and clean. The hotal has a gorgeous terrace with apperitivi ( italians happy hour with free snaks) Francesco was an amazing host, as well as all other members of the stuff. I will keep recomending this place and hope to be... More

Four days in Florence after four in Naples, Capri and Venice. The slightly cheesy name of the hotel was a bit worrying, but its just next to the Duomo, about 10mins walk from the railway station and the bus station where the airport shuttle bus terminates. The hotel was a pleasant surprise! Quite modern, quirky, each room is themed. So... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
