We needed to book a place at the eleventh hour to stay one night in Florence. Hermes' biggest plus was its location....literally 5 mins from Florence Santa Maria Novella station and the duomo complex and other attractions...pretty much everything is close. However, the room was a big surprise.....no complains about the size, but it wasn't clean, the bathroom is the... More

As I was visiting Florence for the very first time and arrived there after a long trip through the beautiful Tuscany, I was mainly aiming for a shower and a place to sleep. Not wanting to get lost that much and calling cabs to take me back to the hotel, I was looking for something as close as possible to... More

If you want a place to stay in Florence, it is not the best place, but is close to metro, the room is big and I think you won't have a problem. However, they have places to smoke inside the hotel what was not comfortable for me. You need to use a lot of stairs to go to your room... More

My boyfriend and I walked out of the Firenze SMN station after traveling via train for 48 hours from San Sebastián. Exhausted, we looked across the street, saw the "Hotel Hermes" sign, and immediately walked in. The owner greeted us with a warm smile, a brief history (of Florence and herself!), a map, and some truly wonderful restaurant recommendations. My... More

No selection for breakfast .. A bread roll ..butter, jam and tea or coffee also a small carton of fruit juice was all that was offered .. The location is very good.. Toiletries were supplied on the first day, but were not topped up each day .. We were there for three days ..

I stayed at this hotel with 20 other people for a study abroad trip! In the few weeks we were in Italy, we stayed in over 4 hotels and this one was by far the best! The personal service and handmade cappuccinos in the morning were fantastic! It was the hardest hotel and staff to say goodbye to when we... More

Myself and 20 others stayed at Hotel Hermes for 4 nights as part of a study abroad trip and I couldn't have been more pleased with the decision to stay here. The place was very simple but for a group that spent most of their time outside of the hotel it was perfect! Patricia was incredibly helpful and her staff... More
