The location is perfect. The owner, Gabriella, contacted me right away after I made the reservation. She responded to my emails within a day or so whenever I made an inquiry. Upon learning that I would arrive after 6pm, she sent me the passcode to the main entrance and gave me all the check-in information. The room is spacious and... More

two blocks from the duomo, a 10 minute walk to the train station, cafes nearby and easy to find. it's definately a do-everything-yourself-place, but comfy. small bathroom but can't beat the price & location. tea maker in the room.

We stayed here, three rooms, June 13-16. This place is a real bargain. Big, clean rooms - not fancy but perfectly adequate - comfortable beds, OK bathrooms (the showers are a bit tight), and an absolutely unbeatable location - half a block from the Piazza del Duomo and a ten minute walk from the train station. The windows are all... More

The Tourist House Battistero is fantastically located - 10 minutes walk from the main train station and right in the centre to be only 15 minutes walk to all main sites, as well as going off the beaten track a bit. We were emailed clear instructions of how to find the place, which is in the same building as another... More

I booked a double room (with en-suite shower room) via Hotels.com for €90 per night. Good points: - Location is everything. This is a few steps away from Piazza del Duomo, and is less than 15 minutes walk from just about everything you’d want to see in Florence. - The room was absolutely huge (there was also a pull-out double... The location is second to none. Very close to both the train station and the Duomo. Service was friendly. The host suggested we see "everything" in Florence, and, well, he was right! He was prepared to be more specific, but honestly, everything in Florence is worth seeing. The hotel is located in a multi-unit building, and our room was actually... More

Amazing location. Only 5 min walk from the train station and next to Duomo. There are many great restaurants just around the corner. The room was spacious and comfortable with AC and large bed. Not a super modern hotel but this was ok. Service was very helpful from the staff and although there was not someone there 24/7 there was... More

The hotel is very well located near the train station and main tourist attractions. The hostess gave us the main directions and offered help with attractions. There's no breakfast, but you'll find lots of options nearby. Good choice for short stay at Florence.

Tourist House Battistero was a great little place to tuck in for a few nights in Firenze! The location was perfect! Gabriela and Gianni were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. I mean really, what more do you need? I think some Americans have a misconception of what you will get when you stay in certain places in... More

I think all the good things about this place has already been mentioned in the previous reviews. Highly recommend this place for its great location and comfortable rooms. Gabriella and her family offered great service, always responsive in the communications, offered help for reservations at Uffizi and Accademia, and also smooth check in/ check out.
