We were given room 86, on the top floor. The room was quite SMELLY, reminding me of the smell of a dead mouse that I once experienced. These things can happen, of course, but the staff were quite aware of the problem and had clearly had complaints before. So we paid quite a high price for a very distasteful experience.

Situated on the river Arno, 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre, bus stop in front of the building. It is important in Florence that this reasonably priced hotel has its own parking in the inner court. Good stop for visiting Florence. The staff was polite, nice, they changed without a word our room which was very noisy. The breakfast... More

Nicely maintained old hotel with a new wing attached located on the Arno River. 15 minute walk to the old city with a lovely park and kiosk/cafe/bar arrangement that became our afternoon drinks spot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only negative was the breakfast if you don't eat bread there isn't much choice.

Lovely friendly hotel on the banks of the river. Rooms on the front overlook the river, they are very spacious and clean. Breakfast was downstairs in a very light and airy room that in the Summer opens out into a garden area. The staff both on the night we arrived and the next day couldn't have been any more helpful,... I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced, near the city centre, and had its own parking. We had a large, comfortable roomon the ground floor, with a good bathroom. The hotel itself is a bit run-down, and the bar is limited to beer and a couple of spirits - however this was no problem as there are a... More

WE recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be in a lovely area, right along side the Arno River. We had some walking to do to get to the Ponte Vecchio but there were also buses , especially numbers 14 and 23 that took us directly into the city. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The Breakfast area... More

We stayed at this hotel on a topdeck tour. It is difficult to rate value for money as I don't know how much it cost. It is a fair walk into town around 20-25 min. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was terrible, if they replaced the shower I would give this a much higher rating. It seemed... More

This hotel we stayed at also on a Topdeck tour in May 2013. We were so excited to get our hotel and shower after a full day on the bus, and to turn up to this was quite disappointing. My friend and I were put in the highest possible room ever at the top of what felt like the attic,... More

This hotel is right on the river just a few blocks down from the city center. Within minutes you can cross the river and head up to the Piazzale Michelangelo, or continue along the river and head for all of the attractions of the squares and the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel itself is a lovely older home that in its... More

Stayed here as part of Topdeck's European Odyssey Hotel tour Sept 2013. Room was a decent size for Europe however that was the only good thing. It smelt damp and mouldy, the sheets that were (I assume) white were yellow and didnt smell clean, the door into the room was not very secure as the handle was really wobbly, the... More
