The dirty rooms were bad. The BEDBUGS (yes) were worse. Then there was the staff smoking right under the sign that said "Vietate fumare" ("No smoking"), and the time the guy at the desk said it "wasn't his job" to get us a blanket when we were cold. Classy. But the very worst thing about this hotel was the utter... More

I stayed in this hotel with a large group for over three weeks and it is one of the worst places I've ever stayed as far as customer service goes. We asked for blankets: they wouldn't give them to us, we reported strange bug bites: they claimed they were just mosquitos, we found bed bugs and brought them to the... More

This place was very easy to find in the center of the town. It is about a 5 min walk from the town square which has a great selection of restaurants. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was great and very European. Would stay again

This is a basic, clean and friendly hotel near to SMN station. We just loved the old lift in this former apartment building, which I was told was 85 years old.The breakfast is nothing special,,but as in many parts of Europe, breakfast is never a big deal.Everything you need is close by. Here's a couple of tips: if you've brought... More

First let me say always, always check a third party site, I believe some of the booking sites, screen reviews. Here are the facts, the good, location; off the train across the street aroud the corner and there you are. Everything you need is within blocks, food, laundry, pharmacy, supermarket, etc. The staff was excellent five stars. As with Florence... More

I booked this last minute, and was just looking for something close to the train station. For 50EU/night, I had no complaints. It's pretty basic but unlike other reviews, I found it pretty clean, and the bathroom seemed newly renovated. (Maybe I'm just not that high-maintenance) There's a fridge, tv and a safety box (I saw an air conditioner, but... More

It is very near trains station so this is really an advantage. Although I would recomend other hotels also around, there are many! We found the hotel by chance, because the hotel is inside a building and you have to read the very discret signs at the entrance of the building. Then you can find the hotel on 2nd floor.... More

I just came back from a 2 week trip to Italy and this was the worst hotel out of the four I stayed at. This hotel is rated with 2 stars, but it's barely passable as a youth hostel. I stayed in a single - Room 8 for four nights and this is what I found: PROS 1. Convenient location.... More

Good location of the hotel (near to Santa Maria Novella train station). Good personnel. Very small bathroom.

No doubt that the most advantage of this hotel is its excellent location (2 minutes from the train station SMN)....but other than this point, I can't find another reason to choose it again. The worse thing of this hotel is the cleaning service is very very poor!! I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I think they had not... More

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building.
