This hotel is in a fantastic location. You are within 5 - 15 minutes of some of the most amazing attractions in Florence. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the fact that we had a fridge in the room. The staff on reception were so helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Even the breakfast... More

Florence is a small town full of life, culture and heritage, so the hotel provides a nice access to both the train station and the city centre. The room was modern and the breakfast provided had a good qualify. The WiFi signal was very low, so that's something they need to take care of.

Generally, I'm a little skeptical about staying somewhere close to a train station or airport as the rooms tend to be well worn and often in disrepair. I was not expecting this one to be any different. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one, though just around the corner and in an old/historical building, was well kept and... More

Good Location, Price Value and Nice Staff. The location is near railway station and bus station. It is walking distance to major sightseeing places on Florence. I had been stay there for 4nights. If you live in 1st floor, you will hear noise every morning around 7-8:00am. It likes morning call everyday because people walk to restaurant, and restaurant is... More

The Cosimo de Medici is a small , quaint, hotel, very centrally located in Florence. I stayed there as part of a group. They only serve breakfast, but as it's so centrally located there are eating places all around. The rooms look like they have been recently refurbished. Very comfortable and a well appointed bathroom. There was quite a spread... More

Hotel is close to the train station, but also very convenient to all the sites. Staff went out of their way to help us always. The wifi was really the only negative. Two couldn't be on it at once and most of the time it just didn't work.

Great location for the train/ bus station, key sights and restaurants. Reasonably priced for Florence and good night sleep in comfortable bed. Receptionist very helpful and hotel clean. WiFi Great and left luggage store available. Only downside was the limited fresh fruit at breakfast - grapefruit, melon, prunes etc would have been nice

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
