My husband and I are young newlyweds who were looking to get an authentic, non-touristy Florence experience. IL Torrino is beautiful, quaint, and romantic. Pierro and Letizia are the owners of IL Torrino and they are absolutely wonderful! It is a lovely house on the hill overlooking Florence. It is only 10minutes by bus from Florence. It is perfect because you enjoy the city without being trapped with all the tourists. Just came back from a super holiday in Switzerland, Austria and Italy. We stayed in Florence at a B&B located not too far from the city centre ( easy bus routes available ) My daughter attended the NYU school at La Pietra ( which is very close to Il Torrino ) --and this B&B was recommended to us by friends....
