The apartment was as shown on the website. The large living room was nice for our family chats; the front bedroom was very large and comfortable and the other bedroom was more than adequate. As some others have noted, the apartment is directly across the street from the entrance to the Academia so there was some street noise, but we... More

Great apartment 20 feet from academie and short walk to duomo and palazzo vechio (15 mins). We had courtyard view apartment, very quiet. (Street in front is noisy with lines for academie). Gracious staff, spacious, and room well laid out. 15 min walk from train station. Highly recommended

The standard and location of the apartment was terrific and certainly can be recommended. For rooms facing the street, one small thing though is the level of street noise can be high particularly later in the evening or if you like a sleep in. Would be a perfect option if better sound mitigation could be used.

We didn't get to meet Francesca, unfortunately, but we still had a lovely stay with our 2 teens for several nights. The location is fantastic, but remember that this is directly across the street from the Academia, which houses David, so there are street crowd sounds starting around 9ish. We were on the courtyard side and it was completely quiet... More

We travelled with our two teenage sons, and the separate bedroom for them was great - - the apartment is very spacious with "old world" décor. The location is great. As others have said, it's across from the museum, and 2-3 blocks from the Cathedral. A small food market is nearby, as are plenty of restaurants. The owner (Francesca) was... More

Beautiful, well appointed apartment directly across from the museum where the David is located. Walking distance to everything in Florence. Groceries available right outside the door. We walked to the hotel from the bus station (caught the bus from the airport). We loved Florence and loved our experience at the Palazzo Alfani.

Had a wonderful 2 nights in this apartment. Location is perfect. We had an apartment overlooking the courtyard so no noise issues. Most rooms are lovely - high ceilings and nicely furnished. Kitchen came across as an afterthought. Very basic utensils etc. coffee machine (drip filter type) needs replacing - can't get drinkable coffee from it.

Cannot beat location and size of accommodations and what makes stay even better is the gracious hospitlality and service provided by Francesca who is a great source of information and is great in arranging tours and providing helpful hints to make your stay in this beautiful city even more enjoyable. Our first and probably only choice when visiting Florence

What a lovely stay we had in this tastefully renovated palazzo, across the street from the Academia, you could not ask for a better location. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. Travelling with small children we found that the kitchen was well appointed and very functional.
