Nadina is an angel and her hostel one of the best I have ever stayed at! The beds are really comfortable, the place very clean and VERY well located, it is a great place to meet cool people, if I ever go back to Florence (which is very possible, because it is a great city) I wouldn't hesitate one second,... I loved this small hostel! I'm not usually a hostel kind of girl ( maybe my age??!) but it was small, friendly and had very comfortable beds. It's close to the train/bus station and very close to the sights of Florence. Nadina is very helpful and friendly and produces a breakfast of croissants, cake, fresh fruit, coffee and juice every... This hostel was great and Nadina took great care of everyone. It's small but it's nice and cozy. Nadina is very helpful in any way she can be. Towels are provided and she even made the beds everyday. It's in a great location, just a few minutes from the train station. 5-10 minutes from the central market and duomo. I... More

This is a top hostel, to be honest it's more like a BnB but with shared dorms. Nadina takes care of literally everything for you, be it drafting an itinerary to get the most out of Florence, recommending bars, ice cream places, restaurants, neighbourhoods - and not just generic stuff, she really tried to understand what I wanted to do... This hostel, full of character is only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of town and the San Lorenzo Mercato Food Market. At the quiet end of a bustling street, it is also close to the main train station yet in neighbourhood which feels safe. We stayed in the twin en-suite room and found it spacious and perfect for... I stayed here with a friend during our few weeks of traveling throughout Europe and we loved it! Nadina is very welcoming and provides a nice breakfast in the mornings. There is a small common area for other hostellers to congregate. We got to meet many people from different countries. Wifi is pretty good and the location is very close... More

It´s a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling on a budget. The owner of the place is super friendly and kind. It´s only 3 block from the train station. Great location. Lots of restaurants near by. Clean place. Small locker and bathrooms but its OK for Europe. Great breakfast included. Fast and free WiFi everywhere in the hostel.

This hostel is one of a kind. Nadina, the host, is so helpful. She would do everything she can to make your holiday a beautiful one. The hostel is always clean and the breakfast is prepared with love. It is just 5 minutes away from the train station and about 5 / 10 minutes away from the piazza duomo. You... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
