The location of this bed and breakfast can not be beaten! An easy walk from the main SMN train station, even with luggage. All of the main attractions are all within walking distance and the Duomo is a minute walk away. The rooms are simple yet comfortable and have everything you need. The breakfasts are simple yet sufficient. The hosts... More

We stayed at B&B Floralia for three nights. The location is unbeatable - it's ten minutes away from the train station (where airport transfers drop off) and two minutes from the Duomo. Our room was great - clean, simple, nice shower and a (surprisingly) comfortable bed! Breakfast was much better than expected - a good spread. Sabino and Silvia were... More

Literally right around the corner from the Duomo and right in the middle of all the bustle. Rooms were clean and breakfast was the usual fruit, yogurt, and pastries. Cappuccino if you ask for it. But I would recommend this place on location alone. The manager woke up early and called a cab to the airport for us which was... More

My husband, two siblings, and I visited Floralia B&B on a recent trip to Florence for a few days before Christmas. Sabino was an excellent host and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. He provided excellent restaurant tips and the B&B is located in a GREAT location just steps from the Duomo. It is a bit noisy at... More

Stayed for 3 nights in a private room for 2 with non-ensuite private washroom. Silvia made this stay absolutely enjoyable! She is so friendly and incredibly helpful. She accommodated our request to drop off our luggage early in the morning and gave us our keys so that we could return any time we liked after 2 pm. She even made... More

This B&B is located just around the corner from Il Duomo and only 5 minutes from the Accedemia. The this little gem is on the second floor and you will be greeted by Sylvia who shows you her home and B&B. The room was good, but the bed was a little on the hard side as it is only a... More

I could not recommend this cute B&B enough. It is tucked away in a great area right in the centre of town. Although being in a busy street, the rooms themselves are quiet so you can rely on getting a good nights sleep. We had an ensuite room, great size and very clean. Sylvia and her brother made us feel... More

We travelled for one week to Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence and Siena...We only spent one night at Floralia B&B. Extremely convenient location! Very friendly welcome and service during our stay. Very accommodating in terms of leaving cases until later in the day after we had checked out. We made the booking thinking we were getting an ensuite bathroom but on... More

It's right in the middle of everything and a short walk from the train. Sabino told us all the good local tips, including THE best Bistecca all Fiorentina (it was one of the best steaks, I've ever had, ever. Seriously, I watched them hack it off the cow in the kitchen). He sat down with us and took the time... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
