Great location, efficient air conditioning, strong Wi-Fi, tasty breakfast, comfy beds, clean rooms/lobby, working elevator, and welcoming staff. Fernando is the owner and is very helpful. We would definitely stay here next time we are in Florence. Hotel Angelica is a terrific value and was full every night we were there with people from all over the world.

Hotel Angelica was absolutely wonderful and a must for a visit to Florence. The staff is top rate and very accommodating in every way possible. The location was outstanding especially if you arrive by train as it is perhaps a 10 minute walk WITH luggage; very convenient. It was also an easy walk to any point in Florence. We've decided... The best thing about this hotel is the proprietress, who greets you warmly and makes you feel like a friend of the family. She seems proud of her city and discusses the local attractions with enthusiasm, though she must have the same conversation 200 times a month. We got a room which was comfortably large, with a nice size bathroom... More

Besides the hotel being very clean, great location, homey, and comforting, the staff is what makes this hotel the best! It is run by a husband, wife and their son. They were the most welcoming and caring people we came across during our travels. I unfortunately got very sick one of the days there. The wife and her son were... More

Let me start by saying that having previously stayed at 3 and 4 star hotels around Italy, coming to the 2 star Hotel Angelica seemed a bit daunting to me. Upon walking in, reception was as nice as could be, however, the size of the room seemed a little tight for me. Nevertheless, I lay down for a nap and... More

My husband and I were here for 3 nights. It was a very comfortable stay. The owners of the hotel (Angelina, Joe and their son Fernando) were warm, friendly hosts. They run it more like a B&B than a hotel. It's within walking distance of the train station and all the sights. Their English is very good which was very... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a long weekend to Florence. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station and easy to find, the staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was basic but comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate for what we wanted. A great little hotel I... More

My husband and I recently spent 2 weeks in Europe and this hotel was by far the best we stayed in... and the least expensive! The room was clean, comfortable, and updated. Breakfast was included in the price and it was wonderful-- fresh pastries, jams, breads, and meats every morning. The owners were delightful people, very friendly and fun to... More

The location is good 5 minutes away from the main train station and few steps away from the attractions. The atmosphere of the hotel is extreamly good (warm and homely) the owner of the hotel (angelica) is very caring, sweet, friendly and kind which will make your stay much more comfortable. The room was comfortable and sweet a little but... More

Just few min by walk, really close to the central station and walking distance to all the attractions that you are looking for. The place is really clean and the family that is running this business will make sure that you get everything you need to make your stay as the best. This is an amazing place at the best... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
