The best thing about this hotel is the proprietress, who greets you warmly and makes you feel like a friend of the family. She seems proud of her city and discusses the local attractions with enthusiasm, though she must have the same conversation 200 times a month. We got a room which was comfortably large, with a nice size bathroom... More

Besides the hotel being very clean, great location, homey, and comforting, the staff is what makes this hotel the best! It is run by a husband, wife and their son. They were the most welcoming and caring people we came across during our travels. I unfortunately got very sick one of the days there. The wife and her son were... More

Let me start by saying that having previously stayed at 3 and 4 star hotels around Italy, coming to the 2 star Hotel Angelica seemed a bit daunting to me. Upon walking in, reception was as nice as could be, however, the size of the room seemed a little tight for me. Nevertheless, I lay down for a nap and... More

My husband and I were here for 3 nights. It was a very comfortable stay. The owners of the hotel (Angelina, Joe and their son Fernando) were warm, friendly hosts. They run it more like a B&B than a hotel. It's within walking distance of the train station and all the sights. Their English is very good which was very... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a long weekend to Florence. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station and easy to find, the staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was basic but comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate for what we wanted. A great little hotel I... More

My husband and I recently spent 2 weeks in Europe and this hotel was by far the best we stayed in... and the least expensive! The room was clean, comfortable, and updated. Breakfast was included in the price and it was wonderful-- fresh pastries, jams, breads, and meats every morning. The owners were delightful people, very friendly and fun to... More

The location is good 5 minutes away from the main train station and few steps away from the attractions. The atmosphere of the hotel is extreamly good (warm and homely) the owner of the hotel (angelica) is very caring, sweet, friendly and kind which will make your stay much more comfortable. The room was comfortable and sweet a little but... More

Just few min by walk, really close to the central station and walking distance to all the attractions that you are looking for. The place is really clean and the family that is running this business will make sure that you get everything you need to make your stay as the best. This is an amazing place at the best... More

A couple friends and I spent a weekend in Florence and decided to stay at this hotel: the location seemed great and the price was fair! However, shortly after booking the room, the price that was on the receipt was VERY different on my visa bill. The amount of hidden fees were ridiculous: bumping the cost up an additional 60... Hello, What you have just wrote is not true. You only booked 1 double room instead of 2 so it's normal you have to pay for an extra room, dont you think? There were no extra charges apart from the city tax which you must pay in all large cities and it wasn't 25,00euro as stated but less. We do... More

Great location, just near the train station. Very pet friendly too; the owner/operator and his wife were very informative on pet laws in Italy and received our dog with a warm reception. Fernando was a welcome host and gracious owner/operator of the facility. Be careful because if you're not paying attention you'll walk past the hotel entrance. It is located... More
