We stayed in this castle-like hotel this past weekend and loved it. Such a nice staff and there was good food for breakfast and by delivery for dinner. The only negatives were the scary narrow street to access the hotel and the common sitting area is chilly (in winter). Our rooms were gorgeous and our top floor room had a... More

Very close to Florence,10 min drive, I don't know if a bus would actually get there... The most beautiful place, every time we saw a new part of the place we wore blown away, we kept on saying WOW every few min. The staff was welcoming, the breakfast was good, we DEFIANTLY suggest you stay there, it really is so... More

Absolutely fabulous location, so peaceful, views across to Florence in the distance. Church bells ringing. Great gardens and stunning swimming pool. The tower room was lovely with a terrace. A lovely breakfast in the garden room with amusing staff in the nicest way.One can walk down the hill to the village is quite alright. Just a short distance with traffic... More

The place has everything one is hoping to find in a Tuscan getaway. Perfect for families with a pool that's even more perfect. It's almost impossible to believe that 8 minutes away by car is the Ponte Vecchio. The road to Siena is 1 minute in the other direction...a 45 minute drive. Couldn't have been better. Zero complaints.

The reception staff could not have been more helpful in giving direction to the city and local restaurants. The rooms were large, in one case palatial, and spotless. They have an arrangement with a local restaurant whereby food ordered by 6pm will be delivered at 8pm. Alternatively a small selection of dishes can be prepared on the premises. We tried... More

We loved our stay here...didn't want to leave. Gorgeous grounds, even in the "off season". I'm sure with pool open it would have been amazing. Lovely courtyard with some covered seating. Lovely windowed room kind of like a conservatory or greenhouse feel with internet and a cozy breakfast room connected. Good B-fast, by the way! Old fortified estate from middle... More

This place is really amazing: you get the ambience of a castle for the price which is more than reasonable. You will love it regardless of season, especially if you travel by car. Very friendly hosts, nice breakfast, pergfect view.

Hotel is located up a hill which has a narrow winding road. There is a restaurant located on the hill but the best thing is to head to town. The hotel is like a villa so you may have to climb a staircase to get to your room. The breakfast is ok, but doesn't seem to be looked after to... More

Everything was excellent!!! You are going to stay in historical place. Minimum decorations in room and really old furniture - everything makes you feel the time. Some parts was build in 16th century. Great staff. Great breakfast. Great and modern bathroom. Great Chianti in mini-bar - for 7 euro. Free parking. Will return some days. Stayed for 2 nights in... More
