The location of the guesthouse is near the Arno in walkable distance to all attractions. And the room was small, but nicely decorated. However, everything else wasn't what we expected. The photos on our booking site are not the ones for the room you book - they are probably from the largest room available. During our stay of a week... More

We found the hotel online with no real input. Found it to be our favorite place in Italy. The only down fall is no elevator. We over packed and had to carry 6 bags up four flights of stairs! Ugh! Franco the owner gave us great advise on places to visit and where to eat. We loved the charm of... More

We booked here for a family of 4. On arrival we couldn't find the manager and fortunately a local resident let us in and carried our bags upstairs (all 76) of them! We had to wait over half an hour for the manager but once he arrived he was very helpful with advice and local facilities. The room was large... More

We stayed in Capri Moon for three nights in September 2010. We had a delightful stay and would recommend it to anyone. Be aware that Capri Moon is incredibly difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with the numbering system in Florence. Residential buildings have red numbers and business have black. It took us a very long time to find... More

Don't be fooled with the pictures that this B&B have put on the website. Firstly, pics are taken with a wide angle lens so that the rooms look bigger than what they are. We booked the quadruple room and stated the ages of our kids (13 and 10). On arrival the owner, took us up to a room for 3... More

I have booked this hotel in may 2010 for the stay in september. The room was fully prepaid and confirmed via booking.com. Three days prior to arrival and 4 months after booking confirmation I got a message from the hotel that they are overbooked and they had to cancel my reservation! They have missed my booking and also forget to... More

We stayed at the Capri Moon for 2 days. It is very well located at a 5-10 minute walk from Florence's main train station, and at a 5 minute walk from the city's historic center. It has no elevator, so you will have to carry your luggage 3 stories up. The B&B itself is cozy and our room and bathroom... More

After reading a number of reviews for the Capri Moon we decided to book it for part of our honeymoon travels in Italy. I can say that it exceeded my expectations, and Franco was wonderful. I could be slightly biased because we had reserved one of the double rooms and upon our arrival Franco told us that he was giving... More

To expand upon what I stated in my title, I needed something close to the shops and something that was of good value. Capri Moon was in an ideal location, was a good value and Franco (The owner) was great. I didn't have my needs as my itinerary was planned out ahead of time but he was helpful if I... More

This is a splendid choice for a stay in Florence. The central location on a classy Florentine street is superb, and the host, Franco is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and well decorated.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
