Max and Bea run a nice B&B. This older apartment is well kept and decorated in antiques to match the age of the building. The hosts are very friendly and helpful....although they don't remain on site, they were there when I needed them. They were very responsive to emails and in-person requests. Breakfast was sufficient but nothing to rave about....consisting... More

I loved this place. Bea, one of the owners, greeted me on my very first day with a very kind welcome and lots of help for finding my way around Florence. The room is spacious (I had the Umbrella Room) and comfortable (a mini-fridge stocked with great drinks, a jacuzzi tub, wood floors, comfy firm bed, and windows that open... More

Residenza Casanuova is located on the outskirts of the main part of Florence and is a short walk from everywhere you want to go - museums, galleries, shops, markets, supermarkets, trattorias, restaurants, pizzerias and gelaterias. The residence has been owned by the same family for several generations, and portraits of grandparents and great-grandparents are on the walls and sideboards. Siblings... More

Residenza Casanuova is an oasis of serenity, civility and grace, by far the best place I have ever stayed in Florence during my many visits in the last 40 years. My week-long experience was in perfect sync with the positive comments by other reviewers about the kind hosts, the tasteful decor, the charming terrace, and the location in an authentic... More

We stayed here for three nights during our stay in Florence and had a triple room. The room was sizable even with the extra bed. The beds were super comfortable and were welcoming after walking around all day. They had free Wi-Fi and the connection was great. Our room overlooked the street and had big beautiful windows that were nice... More

We stayed in December when Florence is free from the madding crowds and seems more Italian than in high summer. Very comfortable, good-sized rooms. Max and Bea are very helpful, considerate hosts. They recommended a good neighbourhood restaurant nearby.

Spend a few nights in the Ombrelli Room. By far our favourite stay in Florence. Huge room, big bed, full bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub, lots of space for everything. Location is perfect. Close enough to the main attractions, Duomo is just 15 walk, but far enough away not to be swarmed of tourists. Excellent restaurants nearby (Trattoria Ceasarino).... More

Very nice B&B in a good location close to restaurants, market, shopping with spacious rooms, good breakfast and excellent hosts -- Max & Bea. Stayed for four nights in September in Room Specchio, good size, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with good shower (plenty of hot water & good water pressure) and quiet. This room has a large terrace with nice... More

Stayed for 5 days in this beautiful B&B. The location is excellent - turn at the end of the street and you are just a short walk from the Duomo, down a lovely street full of lively shops and cafes. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Bea and Max gave us a warm welcome and were always friendly... More
