Wonderfully manicured hedges - long vision lawns - lemon & olive trees - peonies & roses - grottos and decaying walls - water gardensat - acorns for wild boar - curious ownership and war history. yes it is a must to understand Tuscan architecture and gardens.

We loved touring the gardens and enjoyed the views over the Tuscan countryside and hope on our next visit to be able to tour the Villa. We recommended the gardens to friends in 2010 and they were equally impressed.

I have just returned to America from 7 days at Villa Gamberaia and it was not near enough. I am not even sure how to describe Villa Gamberaia other than to say that I communed with its gardens and fell in love with this place. I came with my wife and yound children, a girl of 5 and a boy... More
