Accademia House was a find. Great location, excellent host, and wonderful rooms. This is a place to stay if you are not comfortable in big hotels. Great personalized service, good rooms, and on a quiet street that is so close to everything. Marco Viti is big bonus. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. It was like staying with a family... First off - Marco was a great host, he gave us a detailed map when we arrived and marked down places and restaurants that were a must see during our visit to Florence. The place was clean, and we felt we were in a safe neighbourhood. We stayed in the Studio on the top floor which was apparently a newer... More

We stayed for 4 nights in November 2011. It's a low tourist season and maybe that's why we enjoyed our stay. We loved it thanks to the host, Marco, who is friendly, helpful, kind and fun to talk to. The hotel rooms are located in a 16th-century building, which adds charm and beauty to the overall experience. The room and... More

My wife and i stayed 3 nights at Accademia house in October 2011. It is wonderfully located, just a few blocks from the main sights, grocery store a block and a half away, ditto for a great wine shop. The studio was clean and had all the necessities. Marco the owner/host is as good as it gets. Completely knowledgeable about... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here in May 2011 for three nights and definitely wish we'd had more time to enjoy Florence and the accommodations at Accademia House. Marco was a great host and his recommendations for dinner were perfect (the last of which was Tito, just up the road, which turned out to be one of our best restaurant... More

My husband and I stayed at Accademia House for 4 nights in Sept. 2011 and were thoroughly happy with our stay. The room was spacious and clean - although basic, it had all the essentials covered plus some bonuses (small fridge & great wifi access). The A/C worked well and the shower had good water pressure with plenty of hot... More

I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of May 2011 and I wish I had stayed 10x as long! Every room is beautiful, with gorgeous vaulted ceilings. It is very romantic staying in this authentic old italian building, although I went with my sister, haha! The decor was really gorgeous and the rooms were BIG. Everything was very... More

My husband and I stayed at Accademia House 4 yrs ago and liked it so much we decided to return with our kids (ages 15, 13, 10). The rooms are very spacious, especially for the 3 kids. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and quiet and AC is good. Location is great, close to the market, in a safe and... More

Marco was great! He gave us some great recommendations on restaurants and things to do. We really liked having breakfast available at the cafe across the street- it was fast and very convenient and offered a true Italian feel because most people going there were Italian, not tourists. The A/C worked well and is definitely much appreciated in June! The... More
