We stayed in this beautiful little place whilst travelling Italy and i am so glad we did! When we first got there we were a bit dubious walking through into a dark area of flats but how wrong we were. When we got to the hotel we were met but the friendliest of owners who was so helpful and kind... More

small hotel. but loved it. the owners are working as receptionist/cashier. they are very friendly. they will give you a short description of Florence. that is better than any other guide. :) hotel rooms are clean. small but OK. felt good staying here. it's very close to the Florence station. 6-8 minutes walk. we were visiting there for the Pitti... We stayed at the hotel in the summer during a backpacking tour of Europe and it was one of the best places we stayed at. The location is very central and handy for the station, the room was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

For a fairly cheap rate, this is a nice place to stay. The owners are incredibly friendly, and even gave us a 10-minute introduction to Florence along with suggested places to visit when we checked in. The hotel is in a great place in the city--near the train station, but only a short walk to the center of the city.... More

Hotel Nella (Paola and her son) saved our bacon!! After a pretty dodgy b&b experience on our first night in Florence my Mum and I were desperate to find somewhere to stay for our remaining nights that had aircon, but that didn't cost much (as we weren't able to get a refund for the b&b we originally booked). The rooms... More

We loved the reception we received at this family run establishment. It's listed as a 1 star which represents the size and features of the hotel but service and atmosphere deserves a 5. If you are looking for an American chain hotel, stay away but if you are looking for a home away from home, hotel Nella is the place.

Hotel Nella is a perfect choice if you're looking for a good, clean hotel with a great location. It's not a luxurious hotel, but it's clean and neat, the staff is very, very nice, friendly and helpful and the hotel is located in central Florence less than five minutes walk from the Duomo and even closer to the train station.... I was looking for somewhere cheap, safe and central on my trip to Florence this week, and I found everything I was looking for here. The owner and her son were very friendly, the size of the room was reasonable, and it felt very secure. The location was good, walking distance to all the main sites, and very near the... More

After touring Europe for 14 days and staying in a mix of B&Bs, hotels and hostels, I have to say that this hotel has the smallest rooms. The attached toilet with shower is really just a toilet. The shower space is extremely small! There is no where to place showering essentials and my toiletry bag was entirely soaked. Thankfully hot... More

The location is excellent. Close to the train station and most attractions. The owners are nice. But the room are not incredibly comfortable and the hotel is located on the second floor with no elevators, which makes carrying a big luggage problematic. WiFi is only available in the hall/near the reception and not in the rooms.
