I stayed at this hotel my first night at Italy last week. The reason I choose it was that it's a historic 15th century building. And also because the hotel's entrance is on an open piazza. I avoid staying at hotels that have their entrance on a narrow alley. I felt very safe and secure at this hotel. My room... More

The hotel room was very basic and reminded me more of a student hostel, don't expect anything luxurious at all here! The bathroom was fine but when it got cleaned no one thought to refill the toilet paper so I had to go and ask for some which in my opinion is a poor reflection on the hotel. Most of... More

I spent six nights in this small hotel located in the heart of Florence, just few steps from the Cathedral, in a nice and lively area. The hotel is on the first and second floor of the ancient and historical "Aldobrandini" Palace. Lift stops only at the first floor so, if you don't want to go up through a winding... More

The hotel is located on a small square between the Train station and the Duomo, next to San Lorenzo. There are many restaurants, supermarket, gelato shop and bars in the area. The rooms are basic and clean, the bathroom is decent size. The staff was very nice and helpful. he breakfast is normal for Italy - croissant, bread roll orange... More

We were pleased with the accommodations at hotel aldobrandini. Very good quality for the price. Breakfast was limited, but I enjoyed the croissant with my cappuccino. The people who manage the hotel are very nice and we felt very safe. There was always someone at the desk. I would stay here again!

We stayed here for 2 nights with no regrets! Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the main train station- we did it with suitcases with no issues. Opposite the church, next to the leather market and walking distance to literally everything in Florence! We discovered a shop directly next door that had everything for 99c! Helpful for cold... I would highly recommend this hotel for Florence visitors! The staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered, they helped us with everything, directions, luggage, tips, breakfast, etc. The room was pretty basic, a bed and bathroom, it was clean, can't complain much. Breakfast is basic, a coffee and couple of croissants and orange juice. It's a great stay for a... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
