Excellent location within Florence, just 5mins walk from the main station (S.M.N) in a quiet part of the city. This is a small family run place, with very friendly service - our host was originally American so communication wasn't an issue, and she was able to recommend a few things. The rooms are on the ground floor facing the road,... More

Picked this B&B based on TA ratings and value. Most of the comments listed are correct, especially the helpfulness of the hostess. If you are traveling by automobile be warned that close parking is nonexistent for this B&B as all spaces on either side of the small street are reserved for residents of surrounding housing. You have to park Two... More

Thank you for the review. We are sorry, though, that this guest had problems with the air conditioning because our air conditioning actually works quite well. We wonder why we were not informed of the difficulties they were having. It is true that we work with a garage that is 2 blocks away, but this is considered near by in... More

We arrived mid day and were greeted by Moraq when we arrived. She gave us a map and showed us all of the things and sights to see while we were in Florence. She was very helpful and made reservations for us at a couple of the busier museums. Breakfast was served to our room every morning between 7:30 and... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was very large, spacious and safe. Moraq is lovely, speaks Very good English and brings breakfast to your room every morning. The breakfast was filling. The B&B is located about 5-10 min from the train station, about 15 min from the Duomo and about 20 min from Ponte Vechio. More

We are a family of 4 and had 2 double rooms. This was a nice plesant B&B, rooms were clean and neat and the owner was quite nice. Location was average, as an indication, it was about a 15 to 20 minute walk to get to the "Ponte Vechio" The breakfast is served in the rooms and comprises a bread... More

I've stayed in at least half a dozen different hotels in Florence. My time at Casa di Barbano was by far the most enjoyable! As a visitor to a bi-annual trade fair ( Pitti Immagine Filati ) held at the Fortezza da Basso Convention Center, this location was incredibly convenient-- a quick 5 minute walk away. After a morning of... More

This charming B and B with 3 rooms, bath ensuite is located within a short walk from the train station and bus stops. We felt welcome and secure in this cozy establishment. Even though we had only 2 nights, Moraq arranged a reservation number with both Uffizi and L'Academie, so we could skip the long queue and pay and go... More

We chanced upon Casa Di Barbano from tripadvisor and 2 nights on, we never regretted our decision to stay with our wonderful hosts. Coming out of Florence SMN Railway Station, Casa was about 10 minutes walk along the atmospheric Via Nationale where heaps of nice eateries, gelatos and a well-stocked supermarket were located. Upom arrival at the B&B, we were... More

We stayed four nights at Casa di Barbano in October. Moraq was very helpful. She provided a map and suggestions for restaurants and sites. It was located close to the train station, close was still a good 10 minute walk, but it was great when taking the train or bus to/from the city, which we did a bunch (including a... More
