Casa Di Barbano is operated by Moraq, whom is a wonderful B&B host: she is welcoming, helpful, and at hand to provide guidance on Firenze and the surrounding regions. Language is not an issue, as Moraq speaks both fluent Italian and English. The location of Casa Di Barbano is approximately 600m away from Florences’ Santa Maria Novella train station. It... more

We came across Casa Di Barbano through www.crosspollinate.com This b&b lying in a historical district offers clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price in a convenient location to the train station and the heart of Florence. Moraq, the owner, is always available with a friendly smile, useful advice about "what to see and do". Moraq provides a satisfying, tasty breakfast.... more

Great value for money. Our room was very pretty--high ceilings, a tall window, modern bathroom. Outside our room was a cozy library with travel and art books on Florence and Italy which we raided. The place is on the first floor of a condo/apartment, a 10-minute walk away from the train station and a 3-minute walk to the bus stops... more

We chose the B&B through the net/reviews and were not disappointed!! We stayed 3 nights after our stay in Cinque Terre and left Italy via Pisa. Both connected to Santa Novella (Florence) railway station which is just 5-10 minutes walk from the B&B. It is also very conveniently located for the wonders of Florence and our hostess Morag gave us... more

Moraq is simply a great hostess. Casa di Barbano is a five minute walk from SMN Rail Station and very close to major sites. The neighborhood is safe and my lodging was spotless. Great value for price. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a small, impecable and quiet stay in Florence. Ana Stevens more

The B&B was great (great location, Host, and Breakfast). It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the train and bus station. Moraq was very helpful. She reserved tickets to the Uffizi and Accademia within a few days of us making our reservations with her (this was very, very helpful as the non-reserved lines for both places were long). She was... more

This charming B&B is a little musty and a little out of the way (but terrifically convenient to the train station), but it's impeccably clean, the bathroom and especially shower are fairly roomy for Italy and the hostess, Valentina, is exceptionally kind and helpful -- and seemingly always around, which was not true of the other B&B's where we stayed... more

We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The couple that runs the B&B were friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for local attractions. It was an added bonus that the wife spoke english (She is american). The breakfast was excellent and there were mindful of your schedule (i.e. if you like... more

We reserved a room at Casa di Barbano for two nights in November. Due to unforeseen plumbing problems, the woman who runs the B&B told us that our room would not be available. She was very apologetic and made arrangements for us to stay in a little hotel across the street. We checked into the B&B the next day, after... more
