We booked Casa Di Barbano on a whim. We needed somewhere quick, cheap, close to the city centre and train station for an impromptu hop to Florence. This accommodation exceeded my expectations. The room is big, bright, absolutely spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and the proprietors were very friendly. I am so happy we ended up... More

we stayed in two of the rooms here. The rooms were clean and roomy with A/C (tempermental at times) There was Wifi and TVs along with a breakfast in the AM that consisted of fresh coffe or Tea, fresh croissants and packaged breads and jams. The staff was pleasant and helpful Was within walking distance of the duomo (20 minutes)... More

Our room is large, with a comfortable bed, nice linens, great wifi and space for our things! It has lots of natural light through the large windows, the ceilings are at least 12', we have A/C with room controls, and it's wonderfully quiet, even on the ground floor facing the street. The feel is old - in the best way... More

My two friends and I stayed at Casa Di Barbano for two nights in early April. It is located a few blocks from the train station and about a 15 minute walk to the main sites in Florence. There are also some small eateries close by. The owner was very nice and helpful. She called the Accademia to make reservations... More

Ownership and staff were incredible. Easy walk to train station, 15 minute walk to heart of city. Loved the fact that it was easy to everything but in a nice quiet neighborhood. Made to feel welcome and at home. Great service.

Fantastic place just minutes from the train/bus station, but still in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Very good location, less than 10 minute walk to the Duomo and under 5 mins to the market place. (Note they have opened the 2nd floor and it is great for a quick lunch, glass of wine, or mug of beer) Room was on... More

Located on a side street, a short distance from the Stazione Santa Maria Novella 2 train station, and only a few blocks from Galleria dell'Accademia, home of Michelangelo's David CASA DE BARDANO proved to be an ideal location, comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. The owner/operator Moraq, was truly gracious and respectful and energetically accommodated our travel needs: in room breakfast, ideas... More

The room was half-underground, small yet tasteful. The owner was VERY friendly and pointed us around the city and suggested things to do -though time was constrained. There was no allowed parking outside and we either had to pay or risk a fine -only for residents and unloading. The breakfast was small and cold, but more importantly, there was no... More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
