My wife and I had been talking about vacationing in Italy for the past few years and decided this would be the year. After deciding on an itinerary of Florence, Rome and Sorrento, I combed through Trip Advisor for places to stay. I picked Giglio BIanco for our 5 night stay in Florence because I wanted a different experience than... More

Chef Vary and her husband Edo are like friends to us. keep in mind they know their city and ask their advice via email or phone when booking tours around Florence. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and Edo's espresso. walking distance to Ponte Vecchio and most of the city's sights. Quiet from being across the street from the Boboli Gardens... More

We absolutely loved our stay with Vari and Edo - they were wonderful hosts and shared our love of good food. Our room was spacious and had everything we required with enough storage to enable us to unpack for the week we were staying. Edo assisted us with our luggage which was great as they are located on second floor.... More

Florence is wonderful, of course, Seeing it through the welcoming, enthusiastic embrace of Innkeeper Edo and Chef Vary makes it even better. It was like staying with long-lost Italian relatives who respected our privacy while wanting to share all the amazing things their beautiful city has to offer. Edo's personalized advice to touring the city was consistently on the mark... More

This is a true B&B in that they serve a lovely breakfast in the morning, and you are in fact staying in the hosts home, with all their personal touches. I wanted one such experience during my Italy vacation and after reading all the reviews I thought I found it. The hosts are hands on, the husband who is the... More

We only stayed with Vary and Edo for one evening, but it was one of our favorite evenings of our two week honeymoon! The rooms feel very homey, and our hosts were willing to offer advice and guidance on navigating and exploring the area. We also purchased the customized dinner, which was easily the best meal we had the entire... More

Oh I loved staying here so much!!!!! It felt like a home away from home. And the different guests that stayed in the other room were super nice, too. Edo and Vary are such FUN people and put more into their customer service than I have ever seen before and there place is sooo CUTE!!!! It is much more charming... More

The room was ok but the bed was very hard. If you like fresh air you find the window opens to a courtyard which creates an echo chamber for anyone talking there. No screens means mosquitoes get in. The hosts make a nice breakfast and excellent pastries but the rather constant talk about how Italian food elsewhere than their kitchen... More

Buongiorno! It seems superfluous to bore the readers of TA with explanations, justifications, etc. ... I think from all the many reviews can infer and decide. But it seems fair to make a note. First of all we apologize for the terrible English (we can assure you that our Italian is much better!) And definitely not for the fact that... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The B&B was beautiful, quiet and very conveniently located. Our room was spacious, with a lovely modern bathroom and a very comfy bed. The owners, Edo and Vary were charming, full of tips about where to eat and what to see in Florence. They even offered us a glass of wine one evening,... More

Dear guys thank you very much for the wonderful review and for all the compliments. We wanted to just explain, but without controversy absolute, that the "stay and dinner" were purchased by you that are not directly make a request to us (request addressed to the B & B) but booking through a well-known web portal where the price, especially... We had a wonderful stay at Giglio Blanco last week. The location is terrific, easy to walk to the main museums, downtown, restaurants and shopping, yet quieter since it is not right in the center of town. The B&B is located on the 2nd floor (really the 3rd floor by U.S. calculations) and is in a lovely, older Florentine building.... More
