We stayed at this hotel for just one night. It was walkable from the train station and was very near to all the tourist spots. However, the room and service was very average. The room and washroom was very spacious and clean, although nothing pleasant to add to our trip The staff at the hotel was happy to keep our... More

We booked what was supposed to be a Deluxe Double Room. Perhaps my view of deluxe is different from others but this was very poor value for money. The room was basically a single room with a double bed crammed into it. The result being absolutely no room to move in. The AC was old so we had the choice... More

This hotel does not look much from the outside, but step inside, and you have a totally different view. The cool interior from the air conditioning is very welcome. Our room was unusual as it was on two floors, the shower room being on the lower floor, which was fine as we do not have any disability. Breakfast was as... More

This a fairly pleasant hotel and offered a spacious, clean room with good air conditioning. The location is a short walk from the station and main sights and was reasonably priced considering. I have stayed in much worse hotels and paid more. If I ever return to Florence, I would have no problem staying here for a few nights although... More

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Mia Cara. The room was large and the beds were comfortable - breakfast was excellent value with far more variety on offer than other hotels we've stayed at. The terrace was lovely to sit on if you wanted to escape the heat of the day and the hotel was a nice short... More

We had a very pleasant stay at Mia Cara hotel when we were in Florence. The location is good - close to the train station and you can easily walk to the city center. The rooms were big and very nice. The breakfast was great, with both hot and cold food, fruits, pastries, frozen yoghurt machine etc. The staff did... More

The best breakfast in Italy (eggs, sausages, fruits, ice-cream, cookies, tasty croissants, good coffee), good location (a lot of trattorias and cafes on the street, near the train and bus station, not far from Duomo), good price.

We stayed in Mia Cara during our 2day trip to Italy. The room was very accommodating and the bathroom was surprisingly very spacious. The breakfast was very good. great location of the hotel, 5-10 slow walk away from the train station and a walking distance from all the attractions in the city.

Hotel Mia Cara, if you're looking for an inexpensive place in Florence, is a good choice. I stayed there on night in June in a single room and my room was fine, service was good and so was the breakfast. There is nothing very special I would say about this hotel, but it is a good choice.

Get a room here as it is clean, has a great breakfast, very helpful staff, and a beautiful courtyard. 5 minutes walk from the train station on a quiet street. Probably need to reserve well in advance as they were sold out nights we were there. Also have soft ice cream all day. Really nice.

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
