We hit the jackpot with this hotel. After reading the great reviews here on Tripadvisor, I decided to book the suite with a jacuzzi tub. We had come from Venice by train and upon leaving the train station where hit with the massive heat of Florence on a beautiful June day. Luckily the hotel is only a short walk from... more

What a wonderful surprise in Florence! We had booked a double room, but on arrival were immediately upgraded to a spacious and gorgeous suite. Hotel staff were lovely - dealt with luggage and first night restaurant reservation in moments. Bathrobes and slippers magically appear. Breakfast (included) was beautiful with eggs made to order. The decor of the hotel is stunning... more

This hotel was just as fabulous as the others had described. When we had arrived they had upgraded our room to this huge suite - which we were totally not expecting. The room was bigger than our living room and dining room combined - it was huge! The service did not end there - the hotel was always ready to... more

This beautifully restored palazzo is a hidden gem in florence. All rooms are exquisitely furnished and contemporary works of art from the owners private collection are displayed throughout giving it the wow factor. There is an amazing roof top garden featuring fully grown trees where breakfast can be taken. The staff are all helpful and attentive. This hotel was so... more

What a wonderful treat to stay at the Residenza del Moro! Each room is magnificent (we were given a tour of several). The del Moro suite was superb - a wonderful upgrade from the smaller room we had booked. Comfortable bed, luxurious linens. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the location is perfect - on a small side street... more

This converted residence is an absolute gem! The staff, the location, the atmosphere, everything about this small hotel is SUPERB. We were traveling with our large breed (Weimaraner) dog, and from the moment I booked the trip they could not have been more accommodating to us and our dog. When we arrived at the hotel they had a bag of... more

My husband and I took our first trip to Italy in June 2008 in celebration of our 35th anniversary. Finding a hotel with the right combination of luxury and value, considering the terrible dollar to euro exchange rate, took a lot of research. We visited some wonderful hotels in Rome, Venice and Chianti, but our stay in Florence at the... more

The Residenza del Moro in Florence is well located in the center of Florence two blocks from the Arno and a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio. It provides visitors with the experience of staying in a luxurious 17th century Palazzo in the heart of Florence. Its eleven rooms are sumptuously and uniquely decorated with antiques, brocades and lovely frescoes.... more

My wife and I traveled to Italy for our honeymoon. One of the highlights of our trip was our stay at Residenza Del Moro. First, the property is centrally located to the restaurants, shopping, and nightlife in Florence. Second, it is one of the most beautiful hotels I've every stayed at. Although it wasnt particularly huge, each room had a... more

Let’s start with our thanks to Tripadvisor members who recommended this gem of a hotel in Florence. It was quite well down on the popularity list, but probably because it only has 11 breath-taking suites which means it won’t compete on quantity but sure wins on quality. We stayed six nights in the Del Moro suite, having enjoyed a free... more
