Nothing compares to this hotel! The team at the Portrait made us feel at home. I stayed at the Ponte Vecchio Suite plus an extra family room. The suite was by far the best suite I've stayed in (beautiful interior, amazing house keeping, mesmerizing view). I was comfortable from check-in to check-out as well as my kids and husband. The... Such a central location, beautiful Ponte Vecchio at your doorstep with a lovely restaurant and cafe within the hotel, that spills on to the street. Our room was large, separate living area and large bathroom and change/wardrobe too, very high tech with 'I' everything connectivity. Air con worked almost too well, something not to discount in summer. This was a... More

We just stayed at the Portrait Firenze and overall our experience was simply fantastic! The hotel is in a great location, central to all of the key sights you'd want to see in Florence and within walking distance to many great restaurants and wine bars. The hotel itself is excellent, great rooms with really nice bedding and bathroom fittings, all... More

Having travelled to Florence many times and having stayed in many of the five star luxury hotels around the area, I can honestly say that the Portrait Firenze is a jewel in the heart of Florence. From the moment we stepped into the Portrait Firenze we were greeted so graciously and warmly. We felt so at home. The staff is... More

We just stayed at Portrait Firenze and it was truly a Five Star (highest level) experience. Every inch of the hotel is luxurious from the lobby to the restaurant to the rooms. The staff could not have been nicer and most pleasant from the relaxed and personal check in experience to breakfast and drinks and just solicitous helpful service. We... More

Beautiful, modern hotel. Clean and welcoming. Great, friendly staff. Taxis are only maybe a 2-6 minute wait depending on time of day. Well located which is important when walking around a lot. The river view is more expensive but we traveled a long way and wanted to have a beautiful view that's coveted judging by the hoards snapping pictures of... More

OK, so we didn't stay here but will when we return to this wonderful city. However, I must call out Leonardo and Vladimir in reception because when our family of 5 had been walking for 40 minutes and lost our way to our hotel, the staff took us in, called us a cab, offered us water and pretty much saved... Where shall I begin. The Portrait Firenze is everything that a hotel should aspire to become. If I could give it 10 Stars I would. It all began rather badly when we couldn't find the way to the hotel by car. As you may or may not know this is one of the biggest problems with Florence. Most roads are... More

Amazing hotel. The lifestyle managers were absolutely top notch. They knew everything about whatever it was that we wanted to do and see. They always took great care to make sure our stay with them was the best it could be...and it was. The location is amazing; right over the ponte vecchio! I would suggest this property to anyone looking... More

On a recent trip to Florence my husband and I stayed at "Portrait Firenze". This hotel is a small boutique hotel owned by the Ferragamo family. As such it is a beautiful looking hotel with well appointed rooms. The hotel is located steps from the Ponte Vecchio and is on the Arno river. Our room faced the Arno and we... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
