Our family of 5 was charmed by this guest house close to the historic centre of Florence. Andrea is a wonderful host and gave us good selections on nearby eateries and sites. For travellers coming by car, this is an ideal and safe place to park your vehicle and explore Florence on foot.

Just as the other reviews say: perfect location if you come by car, easy to reach, very large and well appointed rooms, high ceilings, quiet (if you close both sets of windows), attentive and helpful staff. It was wonderful to come back to our wonderful quiet room after tackling the many gorgeous churches & monuments and hordes of fellow visitors.... More

Very nice, quiet property, not far from the hustle and bustle of central Florence. We had a two-room apartment, which was perfect for our family of four (2 college-age children). The walk along the river to central Florence is lovely. Alternatively, there is a bus stop close by. We also walked up the nearby path to Piazza Michelangelo for a... More

Residence is in a perfect location, especially if you are driving. Easy walking access to historic center, but away from crowds of Florence. Rooms are large, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Angela's recommendations for places to get caffè in the morning to great local trattorias for lunch and dinner were perfect, and she and her husband are very attentive and gracious... More

We have been staying at the Residence Michelangiolo for the last seven years! This is our 5th stay after staying 3 times in hotels in the inner city with the tourist mania. I can't emphasis the difference in staying in this quiet and relaxing residence and avoiding the inner city. You have easy access to all of the museums and... More

A fantastic period building in a great location - perfect for exploring the site and sounds of Florence. Angela the proprietor couldn't have been more helpful - providing recommendations for dinner / breakfast etc and even printing out my boarding pass for my flight for me! The secure free of charge parking is also a bonus! I'd highly recommend it.

My family and I had a lovely stay at the Residence Michelangiolo! The house and accommodations were absolutely lovely! Everything about the Villa had great charm and Angela helped make our Florence and Tuscan trip very memorable! Angela runs the Residence Michelangiolo and she helped plan a Tuscan wine tasting tour and recommended great local restaurants. I can't say enough... More

This was a girlfriend's trip that we planned on the spur of a moment. I had stayed here before and went back for more. We originally booked a smaller room with twin beds, and though the room was lovely, I wanted the room I had stayed on before, so we arranged an upgrade to the top floor jr suite. It... More

This was a great place! It was clean and very quiet. You could walk to anywhere within 20 min. The couple that run the residence are very kind and thoughtful and have great recommendations for restaurants. We drove and could park our car there and it was safe and secure since it was gated. Would definitely stay there again!

The house with history. Not too old, but quite enough. The first impression - beautiful and comfortable, with high ceilings and windows with shatters. Everything in a good shape and vintage. Looks like the owners do love the place and take care of it. Our apartments were quite big. There were a bedroom with a big bathroom and a big... More
