We had a wonderful stay at Residence Michelangiolo – the residence is very beautiful - nicely renovated and very elegant. The lack of breakfast is not an issue – the cafeteria near the hotel is wonderful (the best breakfast in Italy that we had). Angela is a very warm host – thank you Angela for your assistance.

Residence Michelangelo is indeed centrally located although on a busy street. However, reading the critiques here we expected something very different. Different to other descriptions we did not experience a four star standard. During our trip through Italy we stayed at four and five star hotels. Michelangelo could not keep up with them. Taking into account that there is no... More

Beautiful residence, huge room, very clean, cosy and comfortable. Charming and helpful guests. Good location, a bit far from the centre : a little more than one mile from the Uffizi Gallery or the Palazzo Pitti. Convenient kitchenette if you just need to prepare a breakfast or cook some pasta but no micro-wave. Daily cleaning. A real downside : it... More

Best experience of Italy in 20 years of visiting. Leave the car behind and walk into Florence in 20/25 minutes. Saves all the bother of where to park, for how long and for how much. Our host Cherubino was friendly and helpful providing ideas and maps. He was always there! We stayed in a Studio apartment, very roomy, comfortable and... More

We stayed here as guests of Cherubino and Angela on Viale Michelangiolo. The residence is truly beautiful with manicured gardens - the surrounding streets are tree- lined and homes are really beautiful Huge room with kitchenette; king size bed (comfortable) and lovely balcony. Cherubino could not have done more for us - he was wonderful and very kind. We were... More

We had an amazing time in Florence for our honeymoon and it was all thanks to Angela. She recommended the best restaurants in Florence and they didn't break the bank. The location if you're driving is perfect and easy to find. The accomodations are great and makes it feel like you have the entire place to yourself. Totally worth it.

Our family of 5 was charmed by this guest house close to the historic centre of Florence. Andrea is a wonderful host and gave us good selections on nearby eateries and sites. For travellers coming by car, this is an ideal and safe place to park your vehicle and explore Florence on foot.

Just as the other reviews say: perfect location if you come by car, easy to reach, very large and well appointed rooms, high ceilings, quiet (if you close both sets of windows), attentive and helpful staff. It was wonderful to come back to our wonderful quiet room after tackling the many gorgeous churches & monuments and hordes of fellow visitors.... More

Very nice, quiet property, not far from the hustle and bustle of central Florence. We had a two-room apartment, which was perfect for our family of four (2 college-age children). The walk along the river to central Florence is lovely. Alternatively, there is a bus stop close by. We also walked up the nearby path to Piazza Michelangelo for a... More

Residence is in a perfect location, especially if you are driving. Easy walking access to historic center, but away from crowds of Florence. Rooms are large, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Angela's recommendations for places to get caffè in the morning to great local trattorias for lunch and dinner were perfect, and she and her husband are very attentive and gracious... More
