We travelled in a motorhome. Great location in the Tuscan hills. Bus stop about 10mins walk from camp, very pleasant bus ride to Florence . We had no need of night visits to Florence so last bus to camp at 7.40 was not a problem. Restaurant was excellent and not pricey. Wi-Fi was not good, expensive and poor signal other... More

Stayed here three nights in our camper van. Toilets and showers nice and clean. Pool was being cleaned out ready for new season do not available in April tho prob too cold anyway. Wifi not free despite very expensive 38 euros a night out of season by far the most expensive site so far. White knuckle ride (as per previously... More

Camping Village Il Poggetto has friendly staff, a good on-site restaurant and a great central location if you want to visit places across Tuscany. we used it as a base to go to Florence, Siena and a few other places. You will need transport unless you rely on local buses. We were there in September and it was very quiet,... More

Friendly and informative staff - on arrival they gave us details of the bus and maps for visiting the region and Florence. The site has terraced pitches with lovely views over the Tuscan hills. Facilities for BBQs, and good, clean toilet and dish washing facilities. There was a nice looking pool, but unfortunately for us it had just closed at... More

My friend and I were travelling around Florence, Pisa and Bologna and this was our first campsite that we stayed at. Positives: 1. The beauty of the location. It's situated in the Tuscan hills just outside Troghi, and this provided a lot of photo opportunities! The sights and smell of fresh basil in the air is quite something. 2. Service... More

If I were camping with kiddos (and a car) this place would be the PERFECT spot from which to enjoy the attractions in Florence and Chianti. The view from the restaurant/cafe was beautiful and the pool was great after a hot day of sightseeing. Since we drove in an didn't have to rely on public or get stuck having to... More

Swimming pool and facilities good. Noise from nearby A1 constant but Ok cos everything. Else is great. We were camping and certainly made a difference. Food at resturant great and made better to hear all our Dutch friends watching their team win.

The camping is realy nice and good organized. The restaurant is also for non-guests and very good! The appartment wasnt that clean and the douche was impractical (it's in the same room as the toilet and sink and the room is just 1 by 1 meter). The facilities were good but the supermarket was expensive.
