My husband and I stayed in this hotel after a busy work week in Serbia. We wanted a place in Florence that was centrally located, comfortable and quiet. The Residenza Castiglioni was the perfect location for us. We were literally one block from the Medici Chapel and two blocks from all the open air markets! Our "basic double" room was... More

Warm, welcoming , freindly, accomodating, very clean, within 10mins walk to all historical sights within Florence, and also 5mins walk to train station, handy for for visiting other famous towns and cities, and last and not least a very unexpensive mini bar within the room.

The rooms were just beautiful, and being in center location it was very easy to get around. Breakfast was a bit average though, compared to other hotels we stayed, but overall a very good hotel. (Just to let you know, at night sometimes you can hear people and loud noise from the street, so its not a very quiet place)

The hotel is located on the third floor of an older building with a gated entrance and courtyard at the entry. There is an elevator which is important if you have very many bags to tote. The lobby area is very cozy and bright, with huge windows on one side letting in lots of natural light. Our room (#22) was... More

What a delight this was. My criteria was to be able to walk to our accommodation from the station, be close to the centre of the city, have our own bathroom, wifi and hopefully breakfast. Residenza Castiglioni delivered on everything. Plus the large room and bathroom were lovely. The manager was extremely helpful when it came time to recommending a... More

I had a very pleasant stay at Residenza Castiglioni. The room was beautiful, with charming frescoes and elegant furnishings, and it was cleaned to a high standard every day. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of variety. The location is superb for Florence's many cultural attractions, and although there can be noise from the street, this was muted high... More

We have friend who travels to Florence frequently and highly recommended it. It was all and more. The room we had was large with a very comfortable bed and a lounge area with extremely comfortable chairs. It is located within. Very easy walking distance to all of Florenze's historic sites. Excellent restaurants within very easy walking distance as is the... More

I was moved to another room in the middle of my stay (4nights total). The first room had an impresive frescoe on the ceiling but the bed was very bad and the huge windows faced a grey wall so you felt like trapped! The second room was beautiful, tall windows overlooking the street and buildings, had a lounge area with... More

We have stayed here twice and feel it is a great value b a nd b.Only minutes from the train station, the location is excellent - right by a host of great restaurants and bars, round the corner from the Medici Chapels, San Lorenzo and the magnificent Duomo. There are also some authentic businesses in neighbouring streets including a wonderful... More

we spent 3 nights here whilst in Florence. The location was good for the main station being only a 5 minute walk away. Within easy reach of all the main sights the city has to offer (including about 5 mins from the Duomo) and near some good restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good.
