My wife and I stayed here for three nights in May. We chose La Locandiera based on the recommendation of friends, and because it was near Santa Maria Novella station. The B&B was easy enough to find (by Italian B&B standards), and we approached with some apprehension, as the security was tight (not a bad thing), and the stairs were... More

Visited with my wife in May 2014. Sylvia was a very good hostess - very polite and considerate with excellent English. She advised us on our visit to Florence and things to do. Our room was spotlessly clean and we had a lovely breakfast in in every morning. The best thing about the B+B I think is the location. It... More

I have been to Florence many times, and last time my mother and I tried a new b&b. We had an early train the next day so we wanted to stay near Santa Maria Novella station, but I had my reservations. After reading all of the wonderful reviews about Silvia and La Locandiera, we decided to give it a try... More

My husband and I stayed her for 3 nights from the 17th May. Wat a great B & B. Just around the corner from the bus and train stations so no dragging luggage all over town. Laundromat next door. Great restaurants just down the road. Silvia was a great hostess and she works hard to make everything as pleasant as... More

We booked this B&B through there website, very easy to use. B&B is hardly 200m from SMN Train Station. Close to all major attractions. What makes this B&B so special is Silvia :). Very kind and supportive. Thank you Silvia, for making our stay so memorable. :)

Stayed here for 2 nights during a holiday travelling around Italy. Sylvia is a wonderful host, extremely helpful and friendly. the B&B is in a great location about a 10 minutes walk from the Ponte vecchio, with the Santa Maria church and square just around the corner. We stayed in room 7 which was an extremely generous size and beautifully... More

We booked our room at La Locandiera for its location and reviews here. The room was very well kept and homey. The owner, Sylvia, was very nice. The bathroom and shower stall were a bit small but the water pressure was excellent, which was very important for me. We really enjoyed staying and looked forward to coming back to our... More

We stayed at the La Locandiera because of its proximity to Florence's main Station where our aim was to discover Tuscany by bus & train. Silvia, the owner, is welcoming, helpful and understands English and delivers breakfast to your room at a time that suits you! I forgot to mention that the room is really good, clean and functional! Spent two days here. Easy to find and friendly welcome, (spoke hood English, v helpful!). Beautiful double room and well worth the money in my opinion. Got given great info for local restaurants and how to get to places. Yummy breakfast as well! Had absolutely no problems and will be coming back without a doubt.

My daughter and I just stayed recently for three nights and we loved our visit so much it has prompted me to begin reviewing here. Knowing we would be arriving from Rome by train and departing to Venice by the same means--and with a day trip to Pisa in the mix--I decided to keep us near the train station in... More
