This is in an apartment building that Christina has, with loving care, turned in to a Bed and Breakfast. The décor included a great collection of antiques. We had a view of the back yard flower gardens of several surrounding apartments. Our room wasn’t spacious but very comfortable. The bathroom was the same. We had two choices for breakfast. We... This is a lovely little hotel just five minutes away from the Duomo and the Galleria dell'Accademia. We stayed at the Actor Suite, a big and quiet double room. Check the photos at their web site: the rooms are all nicely and differently decorated. You'll feel somewhat henryjamesian with all those nice chairs and big beds. If you stay in... More

We stayed in the green room, which was nicely decorated with a very comfy double bed, I had the best nights sleep of my entire trip there.... More

Wow...what a find. The Relais Grand Tour is a hidden gem, just a five minute walk from the Duomo. We stayed in the Mirror suite, which was just beautiful. Giuseppe informed us that his wife had just won Interior designer of the year in Florence for the design of her rooms. I can see why. Every morning we were greeted... More

I recommend the Grand Tour. If you go to their website and look at the pictures -- I stayed in the "double room" with the green ceiling. My son and nephew shared the room next door with 2 twin beds. Both rooms were charming. Small bathrooms, shower with a curtain around you, but lots of gorgeous hand-painted tiles and sink,... More
