We stayed at Grand Tour Suites for 3 nights and it was great. We had the "Actor" room and it was spacious for the two of us. There was air con and a sofa to rest after a day's walk under the hot sun. We love the mini fridge in the room; we bought drinks from the supermarket, put them... More

We stayed in the beautiful Diva room, and found it elegant, comfortable, quiet and just what we needed after long days of visiting museums, churches, eating and shopping in fabulous Florence. The location is great, not too much traffic and yet still close to everything. Giuseppe met us on arrival and spent some time with us giving us tips on... More

Bit tricky to find, but was a great place to base ourselves for Firenze explorations. Easy walking distance to all the major sites. Elegant rooms, very comfortable. Super friendly service. Great little courtyard to sit and have a chat with other travellers. Reasonably priced. Would love to go back :)

This charming B&B is located just past the busy streets and allows for a peaceful and relaxing stay while visiting Florence. We stayed in the “Mirrors” Suite, and it was very well decorated, quiet, spacious and airy, not to mention extremely clean. Not only are the owners flexible with their schedule for arriving travellers, they are also extremely hospitable though... More

The owners live in the property and they treat all their guests like house guests. Giuseppe was very helpful in pointing out the location of many nearby attractions and restaurants including a building just down the block that had a beautiful painting of the Last Supper. He explained that this painting was done before da Vinci's painting. There were other... More

Christina and Guiseppe were great hosts. They live in the building across from the second floor rooms. Christina took the time to show us a map of the city and all the nearby attractions that we might want to visit. We were provided with tickets for breakfast at the wine bar/coffee shop Nabucco, which is one half block away. We... More

Hello! thank you so much for your review. As other guests said, bathrooms of the 2 dbl rooms they are small, and that's why these rooms are less expensive than the suites. When we have the possibility, we always offer a free room upgrade to our guests and move them to the suites, but unfortumately, as it usually happens during... More

We stayed in the "Actor's Suite". It was large and charmingly decorated. The room had lots of character and we felt we were living in another era. Christina was charming and gave us great suggestions for nearby restaurants. The location provided easy walking access to all of Florence. Karen and Kathy

We stayed here this past November. Giuseppe checked us in and was all a host could be, charming, affable, and helpful. He took a map and marked out places of interest and places to eat, and also warned us about the "tourist trap area" where you will pay €15 extra just to sit outside. He suggested a nearby cafe where... More

Thank you very much for the review you put on our page. I have to say that I'm very surprised to see more than 20 lines for a description of a bathroom that everyone can see on our official website, right in the gallery page, before to book a room. And the saddest thing is that we did not have... More

Our group took over the entire B&B for a 5 day stay in Florence. The location was perfect. An arrangement with a local bar provided a great breakfast every morning. The owner, Giuseppe, was friendly and helpful in making dinner reservations and mapping out the city and attractions for us. The showers were very cramped in 2 of the rooms... More

Dear Friends, first, thank you so much for your booking here at our property, and second, thank you again for the time you put in the review. We are sorry to see you were disappointed with the bathrooms: we have a total of 5 rooms. Three of them, on the first floor, are called "suites" and 2 have large bathrooms... More

Like most people traveling to Italy, we used the Rick Steve's book (we saw the book all over!!) to identify possible hotels or B&B options for our time in Florence. We checked out a bunch of options but this one looked to have it all - location, charm, affordability and AWESOME hosts! We stayed in two rooms during our stay... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
