There were a number of negative issues, but two really stand out and were unacceptable. 1. After a day of exploring, we arrived back to our room to find the door to our room wide open...it was most definitely locked when we left that morning. Someone had come in to make the bed and not shut and re-locked the door.... More

My bf and I stayed there for three nights. We were traveling on a budget so arranged a price without breakfast and with hared bathroom which turned out good for us as we were on the second floor sharing with two other private rooms that had their own private bathroom, so basically we had a bathroom for us just not... My mom and I booked our room then ended up extending our stay. We e-mailed the hotel and asked if it was possible to add a 3rd night and if we could have two beds. We received an email confirming our request. We knew that the owners did not speak English but didn't think that would be too much of... More

The room itself is no bad considering the location. however the big downside is the noise at night from the streets and from 8.30am when they are preparing breakfast. There was minor construction work from the same building in the top floor too where you could hear some drilling for a very short period of time. Check in is done... More

We just arrived home from over 3 weeks in Italy. We stayed at Katti House while in Florence. We were a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 teenage children. Maria and Francesco were amazing hosts. I booked ALL my accommodations all over ITALY directly with the owners to ensure/confirm my accommodations had a private bathroom in each room. Maria... More

My wife booked this room because the pics were cute and somewhat affordable. When we got there, the manager gave us a room down the street on the second floor. We were also told that a deposit of all of the days stay was needed in which in the end "Maria" said it was ok (so beware of this, you... More

Located in the heart of Florence, this hotel was more than I expected. I stayed here in mid Summer and it was super affordable for the prime location. This may be because the owners only speak Italian, but it was not a problem since I only stayed for one night. So many great restaurants nearby, BUT they have their own... More

The location is conveniently located. But there is more than one location for this B&B. They have,15 rooms but in different buildings. If you are looking for just a,place to stay with no sincerity and warm feel from your service then stay here. Otherwise I recommend staying at an agritourismo near the city for a great experience and visiting florence.... More

We were 3 people (Myself, wife and daughter), and our room was satisfactory, with enough space a decent WiFi in a building just down the street from the main address. Basic, but OK accommodations. Breakfast was also fine, although limited to a 2 hour window (8-10 AM). Be aware that very little English is spoken. A satisfactory budget choice for... More

Was a little disappointed on our arrival when we were put into two separate rooms on two separate floors from our children after booking the family room. We were told they had giving it to another family. My husband and I were put in a room with no bathroom and had to walk across the breakfast room to use toilet/... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
