This place really exceeded our expectation even though we only stayed for one night. We are a family of four with two young kids and this place was spot on for us. Good sized apartment in an excellent location, right in the heart of Florence. Particularly impressed with the great welcome, real treat of food and wine in the apartment... More

We stayed here just for one night as part of a big group. The apartment was clean, spacious and very comfortable despite such a large group. The furnishings and architecture were beautiful. What surprised me most given the really price was the location just down the street from the duomo. Fantastic place. Highly recommended.

Met up with family here in Florence and this place was perfect. Staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, especially with my 4 year old nephew. Apartments are huge, stocked with food and wine which was a great surprise. Beautiful large bathroom which is unusual in Italy, walk in closet, plenty of space to spread out plus it's smack in the... My family of four adults were well accommodated in the two bedroom / two bathroom apartment. The fridge was stocked, lots of delicious delights to welcome us, even a bottle of wine. Terrific location, up the road from the Duomo and behind the Academia. Staff were exceptional, Ina and Julian ensured everything about our stay was perfect. We appreciated the... More

One of the best accommodations we ever stayed in, staff couldn't be more helpful. The stocked fridge, wine and pasta was a very welcome touch. Very close to all the sights, walking distance to everywhere. Some street noise but not a huge issue, had no problems with the wifi. They held our luggage but went above and beyond when she... More

I didn't realize that we were going to get a large apartment for the price of a moderate hotel room. Two bedrooms, sleeping accommodation for 6, kitchen, air conditioning in each room and even lots of free food bits (coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, bottled water). The best, though, is the staff, who are most kind, helpful and friendly. Wouldn't even... More

We recently stayed here for 4 nights in June/July 2015 and had a family room. As others have stated, they get you going nicely with wine, ham and fruit to start your visit and the front desk is totally helpful on all matters. The only complaint that I would have is space. Once night we decided to eat in our... More

I've stayed in First of Florence in june 2015. I payed 1350 euros for the rooms in advance (in march). At check in I don't have the credit card I realized the payment with me (they didn't tell me that I need to take it with me), so they charge again and tell me to contact my bank when I... More

You feel very welcomed in this hotel. It was nice to see a fruit basket, bottle of red wine, ham, cheese and water for free when we have entered the room. You also have small kitchen, Nespresso coffee machine, teas, croissants, jams and so on. We also had spaghetti and tomato sauce (but not sure if it was left by... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
