We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful. The location couldn't be better. The living area is up 30 plus steps. Then you need to take a short elevator ride up to the rooms. The steps may pose a problem for individuals with problems climbing stairs or with heavy luggage. The rooms are very nice. The bathrooms are ensuite... More

This is in the prime location of Florence, right on the Piazza della Signoria! The staff is so friendly and helpful, Pamela is a gracious hostess and will take good care of you. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable even though in an ancient building. That being the case, there are some stairs to climb before the elevator,... More

Nice stay, great location. The pros...nice part-time staff, honest room in ideal, ideal, ideal, location. Clean and friendly. Great value. The considerations...the steps/elevator...not for everyone as elevator is tiny and you're hauling bags up three flight of stairs to get to it. Rooms are authentic, like a decent home, not a top tier hotel. Not brand new and not completely... More

I read many reviews before I selected Soggiorno Antica Torre. After reading so many positive reviews, we booked the Blue Room for three nights. We were very pleased that the location was so central to restaurants, sights , and entertainment. The Uffizi Museum is steps from the B and B. Our hosts were knowledgeable and friendly. We plan to stay... More

After receiving the recomendation from family, we had 5 nights in the Blue room and found it to be spacious and clean. We cannot say anymore about the location it is central to almost everything and walking distance to all major attractions even the train terminal is about 15mins walk without luggage or a 10€ taxi ride. Costanza and Pamela... More

The hotel has a Fantastic location as just outside there are many restaurants and statues to admire and it is very close to the leather markets and other stores. The rooms were nice and clean and a decent size. The bathroom was also nice and clean however it took quite an amount of force to shut the door and the... More

Only by the stretchiest of imaginations could this be considered a hotel. The staff is here from 8am-1pm. Other than those hours, good luck, you're on your own. I do have to say they were very friendly for the 2 minutes I saw them. The location is in a major square that is absolutely flooded with tourists. I'm gonna assume... More

You have absolutely right about the fact that we are not a hotel, in fact anywhere on the web we are classified as B & B / Guest House. All points of which you complain are clearly explained in our voucher, that we as a B & B send directly to our customers and we sent you when you make... More

I'll definitely be visiting Florence again and wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else. This hotel is in the most magical location right on the Piazza Signoria, on the second floor ( there is lift but also about 20 stairs too) of a beautiful old building. It's like stepping into someone's home and really doesn't feel like a hotel at... More

I stayed here with my parents for 2 nights in Florence, and it was a great find. We were in the Green room, which didn't have much of a view, but was nice and quiet, since it wasn't facing the main square. It had nice tall ceilings, and felt very spacious- which we didn't always get when booking a triple... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Soggiorno Antica Torre is located in the heart of the city, in the most famous piazza in Florence: the Piazza Signoria. The pensione winds around the central part of an ancient tower from the XI century. Almost all the rooms have original ceilings and beams. The floors are oak wood. The wood furniture is in classic Italian style; all the rooms are furnished with antiques pieces, some coming from the Medici-Riccardi Palazzo, the city residence of Cosimo dei Medici. ... more   less
