As most of people here admit, the location of the hotel is the only positive point. We have terrible experience with the checkin and other stuffs, since the owners cannot say even a word in English or French. The worst part came when we left our luggage there in the lobbies. The owner (for sure, since at the time, there... More

This "B&B" is in an excellent location, but in my experience that is really about the only positive of our stay here. We couldn't get out fast enough the following morning. The shared bathroom experience was the worst. Thankfully we showered the night before, but trying to get in the restroom in the morning was impossible! The owner/host had to... More

Yes, this is a budget hotel (we paid about $100 USD for the night) but that does not excuse the misleading room description in my reservation ( no television or wifi available in room as described) and the overall lack of management. The hotel was not clean and the shared bathroom was no where near efficient enough to host all... More

Great location a few steps from Ponte Vecchio! Should have a phone to contact them on arrival as it is not clearly stated on the bell what apartment they are in. We stayed in the 3 bed room right next to the entrance and it was very comfortable and clean. Our trip was right before New Year's and it was... More

Antica Dimora San Jacopo is in a fantastic location, just a couple of minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio. Our room was very spacious with simple but pleasant decor. We were sharing a bathroom which was large, clean and well equipped. The lady hotelier doesn't speak English but is incredibly friendly and we found communicating with her much easier than... More

My stay here was not overly great, but it was not terrible either. There were just a few problems that made my stay here very frustrating, but I want to start with the good parts first. The hotel is situated in a great area that has access to all of the major sites in the city within 15 minutes from... More

Accomadations were top notch, almost felt like a hotel. The room had a/c. Great location in heart of city. Staff was friendly but were mostly hispanic and did not speak english and only occasional broken italian. CONS: one toilet and one shower for floor of up to 20 guests and NO kitchen facility.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
