We recently stayed at this Hilton Florence Metropole. Pros: shuttle between train station and hotel, staff, food& beverage Cons: The rooms look nice and are great for a quick weekend visit. However they are not designed for a traveler. Whoever designed these rooms should have to stay there for an extended period to learn what a traveler really needs. more

The hotel itself wasn't bad and I would probably give it a better review if it was off the interstate in California, but nothing about this hotel made me feel like I was in Italy. My view was of the highway and it is a bit far from the center. They do run a shuttle into the center of Florence.... more

Excellent hotel to stay for Tuscan countryside visitors. Not recommended for Florence city visitors. I really enjoyed the excellent service of friendly hotel staffs. Hotel looks run down in a not so nice area of Florence. The staff seemed annoyed at their guests. And the executive floor ammenities were disappointing. Swimming pool charge is not included in room rate. more
