Il Ghiro is a short distance from many of the places you'll want to see. As soon as we arrived, our host showed us our room, marked off important places on a map, and gave us great lunch recommendations. But if you need more info when a staff member isn't around, they have plenty of it in their common space.... More

Il Ghiro is a guest house, so it is "bare bones". It is clean, well cared for, convenient to both the train station and the center, and a good price. The host, however, was exceptional - helpful in every way, and he even hefted our bags not only up the several flights of stairs, but back down again when we... More

We stayed here a few years ago and had a wonderful room so when returning to Florence it was a no brainer that we would choose to stay here again. The room we had was not so nice as the windows were really high up so there was no view and the door to the room opened out on to... More

This was a perfect stay for our single night in Florence. It was a short walk from the train station. We booked a triple room with a private bath. This was our first experience staying at a hostel and we were pleasantly surprised.

This place is probably my favourite "hostel" to date, even though it's not really a hostel. It felt like a cute and cozy B&B. The staff were so helpful, I felt like they couldn't do enough for us. You get towels in your room, the place is very clean, the beds are comfy and it's in a great location. We... More

Just a short 5 minute walk from the train when we arrived. I think we paid 5-10 euro extra per night for a private bathroom and a bigger room which had a TV and AC. We were given a map when we arrived and were pointed out directions to all of the main attractions. There are some great restaurants in... More

We stayed for 4 nights and the room and community areas were clean. No problem with waiting for shared bathroom. No AC but the window and the ceiling fan did made the nights bearable. Very friendly neighborhood with a great bakery down the street. Easy to get to from the train station and easy to walk to anywhere in the... More

The room given to us are quite spacious and clean. The guesthouse staff was very friendly and helpful as well. As for location wise, its location near the train station too. Strongly recommended to stay with them if you have a chance to visit Firenze!
