Stayed three nights at this B&B at the beginning of november. The location was excellent, at a five minute walk from all the main attractions but at a very quiet location. Rooms were excellent and the service at breakfast a charm. I would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely guest house! The room was clean and quiet with free WiFi and we were looked after by our very helpful host who knew everything about Florence and spoke excellent English which is quite rare in Italy!

I first stayed at the Franchi Residence last year and absolutely adored it. Clean, comfortable and relaxed. Simone manages the place with warmth, thoughtfulness and assurance. I'm staying there now and will be back again. Very central location, btw.

This was by far our best experience in accommodations in Italy. It was like our own little apartment. We did not get a room with a kitchen but they are available. Spacious and clean, with good wifi, which is hard to find in Italy. Simona was extremely helpful and treated us like family. Although a couple of blocks away from... More

Simona gave us maps and advices on touring, and she is always willing to answer any questions. She also helped to make a dinner reservation and to take care of our luggages. The room is traditional and well-decorated, and the small garden is also very lovely. Although it is outside the old town area, it is quite close. There are... More

A beautiful place, once a monastery, now our most pleasant stay during our European tour. Excellent location, quiet, immaculate, and your host is extremely pleasant. A very relaxing place, flowers in the windows, a nice patio in the back. From the noisy streets of Florence, you enter into secure, peaceful quiet surroundings. Great price! Highly recommended

This place is older, but it was decently clean. Room 3 was spacious and had a kitchen (we didnt need or use, but it is there). The bathroom was in-suite. The bed was comfortable. A basic place for a basic price if that is what you are looking for.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 5 nights in early September and I don't think we could've found a better alternative anywhere in Florence. As previous posts mention, the place is under new management, so I would disregard older reviews. I had payment issues as well but was not overly concerned by this. Now run by a lovely lady, Simona,... More

I stayed here 1 night before I had to fly early. It was not possible to pay by card (the machine refused it at the reception). I had to go alone, in the middle of the night, to get money from a cash machine. When checking in to the hotel earlier, the reception lady already said it is better to... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
