What can I say about the owner and host ALessio other than he's one of the nicest people on the face of the earth. Locanda de' Ciompi is located in a terrific local's neighborhood. The neighborhood gathering area is Piazza Dei Ciompi which is conveniently located just a few steps from the front entrance. Of all the things to see... More

This B&B is situated in a great spot, maybe 10 minute walk to the Basilica. We were lucky enough to have a room with a bathroom (room 5) There was plenty of space in the room and it was very clean and tidy. There is a small fridge in the room and as aircon. Breakfast is served at a cafe... More

Large room, comfy bed. Great location. Clean spacious bathroom. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Really close to loads of lovely places to eat. One complaint- room was quite dark. But very small complaint. Breakfast included is in a little cafe down the road which is lovely. Great place - I'd stay again.

We enjoyed this B&B both in 2013 and 2015 for our honeymoon and vacation visits in Florence. The B&B is very nice, very Italian and the host Mr. Alessio Gallori wonderful! We will stay here again in 2016 with our family!

Excellent b&b, great and big room, clean, beautiful building, great host, excellent location. Totally recommendable. We even got help to store our luggage after checkout time, walking distance to everywhere, we had a wonderful stay in Florence.

Absolutely brilliant experiance.!!! TIP - when walking from the center entrance will be on the left side of the street -do not look for the sign as it is a normal entrance like you would have to every block of flats. Been welcomed by the owner upon arrival who gave us lots of information about the city and how to... More

This inn is very charming and the owner, Mr. Gallori, is very welcoming. Our room was very clean and well appointed. It is a nice, old building with lots of charm! We received vouchers for breakfast at a cafe just down the street; we ate our breakfasts outside overlooking a plaza. The street on which the inn located is on... More

Having booked nothing else besides our flight when coming to Italy and having no itinerary, we booked our accomodation sometimes only a day ahead of when we needed it. We were fortunate that Allessio was able to accommodate us for one night of our two night stay and assured us that while we were out sightseeing he would find another... More

This is probably the best place I have ever stayed. Sr. Alessio is a warm-hearted, welcoming host! He provides a guest with cheap and good places to eat--where average Italians like him do. He gave me advise even on where I could buy clothes in the weekly market nearby, as he does. He provides a guest with a spotlessly clean... More
