Stayed a few years ago for the 2nd time with friends that have never been to italy. Rooms are clean but after traveling from the US for 15 hours all we wanted was a shower. NO HOT WATER. we where told that it ran out and in 20 minutes we would have some. We did have hot water for about... More

Stayed here for one night of our honeymoon. It's in good location and the room we had was huge , had a good balcony and a large bathroom. The reception is actually on the other side of the road in a sister hotel . The staff were friendly and helpful. For a b&b breakfast is not actually included bust still... More

This 'B&B' charges you £10 for breakfast. To check in you have to go up three flights to a hotel on the other side of the road. We complained that our tiny, dingy room had construction work and scaffolding going on right by our window. It was noisy. "So what's the problem?" said the receptionist "How were we meant to... Good location, but poor WiFi, terrible mattress, and for a B&B, breakfast is not included. Check in is at the larger main hotel across the street, no view or balcony. If you want to purchase breakfast, you can do so in the larger hotel across the street. Not a B&B experience

This hotel is situated in between the Palazzo Pitti/Giardino di Boboli and the Ponte Vecchio and you really cannot get a better location; all of the main attractions are within throwing distance of the hotel. My room was quaint with nice pictures, a sizeable bed, good wifi, clean and quiet. There was no view from the window but then for... More

We stayed here for four nights. Room is basic but clean. It's in a great location. But... My bed was horrible- you can feel the springs digging into your back and one side of the mattress had collapsed. The a/c did not work. It blew cool air but not sufficiently cold to get the room to a comfortable temperature. It... More

Had a great 3 night stay here- very large room for the area, esp for what it cost us! Great locale (next to the Ponte Vecchio) and short walk to everything. Only odd thing was having to carry 3 different keys to get in but thats not uncommon for the area. Would def recommend!

We loved staying across the river - away from the crowds but a quick walk to the must see sites in Florence. This is a 1 minute walk after crossing Ponte Vecchio. There are so many great restaurants in Oltrarno to pick from and our best meal in Italy was here at Trattoria San Agostino. The B&B was spacious. My... More

My husband and i stayed here for four nights as part of a wedding party. The b&b is in a excellent location, you are within walking distance to Palazzo Pitti also 10 minute walk to Palazzo Vecchio, restaurants and shops. The room itself was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean also. We booked a superior double,... More

Stayed here for two nights. Located conveniently between Ponte Vecchio bridge and Palazzo Pitti, about ten minute walk to the Duomo. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is not free (10 euros per person) but it was good hearty type. Check in also has to be done in a hotel across the street, but this is not a big deal. I would... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
