Perfect location right near the Duomo, Clean rooms and great bathroom Fantastic terrace for all to use. Choose a room with a balcony and view Staff are great and helpful Breakfast included but is a bit sparse. Tea, coffee, kettle and bottled water in room is a great touch

We stayed here for 6 days exploring beautiful Florence and the surrounding area. This little B & B couldn't be better situated, it's close to the train station, bus station, attractions, shops and restaurants. Our room was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee making facilities and we ate our breakfast each morning on the little roof terrace overlooking the magnificent... More

The property location is perfect ! The Duomo and Baptistry is right around the corner. The Santa Maria Novella train station is only 10 minutes walk. Palazzo Vecchio is literally a five minute walk. Lot of eateries, the oldest coffee shop Gili is across the street. The property is in the center of shopping area. What else can you ask... More

The room was very roomy, tastefully decorated, and had a clean, modern bathroom. The breakfast was quite good with the best seat in town overlooking the Duomo from the terrace. The staff were very kind and happy to help with any request for directions or suggestions. The fact I'm a big fat chicken kept me from using their elevator after... More

We started at Residenza Giotto for 4 days in May and really enjoyed our stay as the place was very close to all the major attractions in Florence. We had a view of the bell tower and duomo from our room and you have a even better view from the common use terrace. Barbara who manages the place was very... More

We stayed here for four nights on our first trip to Florence. The location was great and our room had a view of the bell tower with the Duomo directly behind it. The room was basic, not too small, with a clean updated bath and small balcony, I think it was "deluxe, Duomo view". Ordinarily I wouldn't give such an... More

We stayed in room 1 for 3 nights. The B&B is very central - close to all the main attractions. The room was very clean with ample room for storing clothes and baggage. The breakfast was basic. The B&B's terrace gave a great view of the Duomo - which was spectacular at night. The staff were really friendly and very... More

The perfect location is second only to the friendly service. We loved everything about our short, two-night stay at Residenza Giotto! The staff was very helpful, recommending a fabulous restaurant for lunch (Acqua al Due) and always greeting us warmly. The breakfast setting on the terrace is worth mention, as well. The room itself was spacious and clean with a... More

We just stayed several days with our son and his wife. Nighttime view out our window was the Campanile and Duomo. Our room was quiet, the staff attentive, and restaurant recommendations were excellent. Great location. Very clean.

If you want to be in the heart of Florence this is the place to stay. The view of the Duomo outside our balcony was breathtaking. The staff was super helpful with booking tours and answering questions we had. Their English was great. It's on the 4th floor and the elevator is tiny so it may require separate trips if... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
