The best location in Firenze, spacious room, cleanesse, friendly people, good price, nice baby cot for our 16 months baby, air conditioner ok, breakfast ok, beautiful view of Duomo from terrace! We hardly recommend it! more

Residenza Giotto is a stone's throw from the Duomo and Giotto's Tower. It is on the fourth floor of a building that houses a Gucci store, a doctor's office, and other businesses. Its staff is incredibly helpful. They secured reservations for us to the Accademia and the Uffizi Gallery before we arrived. They also printed out our boarding passes and... more

The best things about Giotto are Sylvia and Barbara-the front desk goddesses, and the amazing view of-and proximity to-the Baptistery, Campanella, and Duomo. We were, literally, no more than 15 minutes from every corner of historic Florence. Sylvia and Barbara made our stay in Florence a warm and comfortable experience – like staying with family or old friends. They recommended... more

we booked a long week end staying in both Pisa and Florence. We booked b&b at the Residenza Giotto on Via Roma (number 6) via Venere.com. The b&b was in the best location possible, only 1mins walk to the Duomo and 5mins walk to the Uffizi gallery The owner of the b&b was very helpful with maps and suggestions of... more

disclaimer: we did have some problems during our stay here which certainly taints my opinion. details are below, but overall the staff tried to help, our first impressions were favorable, and i wouldn't necessarily discourage someone from staying here (but i wouldn't book it again myself). location is right next to 'the duomo' which is incredibly convenient for touring. there... more

We stayed 3 great nights in Florence in April, 2008 at the the perfect location for sightseeing. Everything we wanted to do was with in walking distance, We really enjoyed our stay at the Residenza Giotto. The staff was very helpful, the room clean, had absolutely no problems, would positively recommend. more

We booked 2 out of 6 rooms at the Residenza for 5 nights. It should be nearly impossible to book in a more centrally located spot. Go just a few steps around the corner, and you are in the Piazza del Duomo standing in front of the Romanesque Battistero, likely the oldest building in the city. Shopping, museums, and restaurants... more

We loved the Residenza Giotto in Florence. The location is fantastic, literally at the corner of thePiazza del Duomo. The rooms very large and clean, and the staff is outstanding. I spent hours on the internet looking for a place to stay in Florence, and after reading many reviews, decided on the Residenza Giotto. We were extremely pleased with the... more

I heard about this place from Rick Steves' website. I think he used to recommend it and then took it out because of some issues with the front door. Let me explain: It is true that this is a somewhat unusual reception to a B&B. First of all, it was a little bit hard to find only because the plaque... more

This is a wonderful little B & B that I would recommend to friends and family. The customer service at Residenza Giotto was unparalleled. The staff there is amazing and spoke English very well, and their recommendations were always spot on. It's also within walking distance to everything! The view of the Duomo from the patio is amazing. We also... more
