I have stayed here with my sister for 2 nights. The host is really nice that always be helpful and kind for us. Also, it is not a far way from the train station to the hostel, by approximately 10 mins walk. The rooms are clean and with simple breakfast. Most importantly, the price of the room is reasonable. I... More

All things considered probably the best place I've stayed in a long time! Massimo is very friendly and very professional! He gave us some very good suggestions on places to see and restaurants/pubs to try. I'm a vegetarian and he was considerate enough to tell me about places that would suit me. Highly recommended!!! :)

This is basically a room in a flat that has been divided in to separate bedrooms. The walls are very thin and you can hear people coming and going all throughout the night - the latch on the front door is SO loud! No air conditioning and the towels were in a poor condition with rips etc. we had the... More

A wonderful place; was in a group of five and had a family room which fitted all of us. We were made to feel very welcome and we helped out at every moment we could need it, be it advice about where to eat or places to go, or even the best "local" places. The bathrooms were always clean and... More

Thank you so much for your kindness and your bery nice words. Yes Florence this summer was very hot and we tried with the fans and the ice in the fridge to make a little cold for our guests. We are always happy to give our best suggestions to our guests. We hope to see you again. Ciao from Massimo... More

Extremely helpful and kind owner. Really enjoyed talking with him and he was helpful on finding us places to eat. I would say the hotel is very basic. He does offer a light breakfast with fruit and breadlike options with some water. We stayed in the room with private bathroom. The extra roll out bed we could feel the springs... More

Massimo was a welcoming and informing host. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and cleaned daily. The bathrooms were also nice. The hostel is located close to Firenze SMN station. I really enjoyed Florence and I think Massimo and soggiorno primavera played a large part in that.

This stay was great. Massimiliano was very helpful right from the start - he spoke good English and gave very clear directions. Once at the place, I was happy to see a decent size room, everything casual, but neat and ready for a comfortable stay. Better yet, I (and other guest that I noticed) felt completely at ease when asking... More

Massimo was really nice and even offered to help my wife carry her suitcase up the stairs. The breakfast here was simple however on hearing that we had a tour the next day, he prepared breakfast for us too. Lastly, he also recommended and booked for us a restaurant that had really good food that we returned the next day... More

We booked the double room with en-suite shower and toilet for a two night stay in beautiful Florence. The room was very spacious and clean. Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
