Great location, 10 min walk from city center, but feels quiet and comfortable, next to a park. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the owner opened the bar for night caps, when we got in late. Breakfast was good and we were able to enjoy it outside in the beautiful back garden. Our room was large and clean. There was... More

I stayed here overnight with a friend. The staff were not very friendly. The rooms were adequate. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of A/C. Only major problem was that the wifi was not free and even if you paid for wifi it barely functioned properly. If you need a quick place to stay for a night or... More

Just spent a week here. Excellent location just a 10 min walk from the station and about the same to the city centre. Nice room and bathroom - ours was room 226 which on the 2nd floor and overlooked the courtyard - the downside were the mix of service given by the staff, most were very very helpful but a... More

We asked for a hotel with a good location and we got it. We were able to walk all over Florence from this place. We stayed for eight nights and made it our home. The breakfast food is not anything special but adequate and we often lingered over tea in the beautiful courtyard in the morning. There IS a limited... More

I found the Hotel Donatello charming. I like that it is an old residence that has been converted into a hotel. The rooms were large and clean, and the AC worked VERY well. The staff was a little flustered at times, but i found them helpful. There is also a very nice courtyard. The best feature of this Hotel is... More

There are sooooo many good hotels in Florence....one would think you can easily do better than this one. The minuses....front desk couldn't be bothered, the room smelled (bad) and was very small and the breakfast featured del monte canned fruit salad and Safeway grocery style croissants. There is just zero reason to choose this hotel - I didn't - it... More

It was so so. Not worth a stay. The only reason you would come here is for the location. By the leather market, and Santa Maria Novella train station. But it is very expensive and nothing is included. Everything is an extra price. We had to pay extra for WiFi that didn't even work, couldn't eat in our room, can't... More

This place really depressed me. On the positive side, the rooms were very large. The decor is old and depressing, it looks like something that has seen better days. The service was really poor and the internet non-existent. You had to go to the desk to try and get on line not very practical.

This is a 3* hotel and that level but perfectly fine for what it is. Rooms were clean, breakfast was a good varied continental and reception were friendly. You would expect to get a safe included but a cost of £2.50 per day is nominal. The location is great for the station but about 25 min walk to the river.... More

The staff were really pleasant and very helpful. Room a bit dated and bathroom small. Rooms were cleaned every day. No bar. The location was ok about 15 minute walk to the Coliseum and 5 minutes to the metro.
