I found this a delightful hotel and is very well located in the old city. The service was excellent and my room was clean and the willingness to be helpful and respectful always to clients was greatly appreciated and as old world as the building itself which is a renovated historic home. There is some very clever updated designing as... More

Hotel is located very near both the rail station (5 min walk) and the centre of Florence. Staff are very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was basic but adequate and rooms where clean and air conditioned. Only downside was the weak shower and poor TV. Overall great value hotel in the heart of Florence.

Every time we walked through the door we were greeted or waved goodbye with a smile! Room was spacious and all that we needed. Shower head needed to be fixed but we were happy to let them know. Outstanding location for the budget traveller, tourist, business person and holiday makers alike!

We were recommended this hotel at the Tourist Centre just outside the main train station as we hadn't pre-booked anything. It's about 7 or 8 minutes from the train station but was a bit difficult to find initially because of the confusing street numbers, there seemed to be 2 sets! After we worked it out it was not a problem.... More

We stayed in the hotel from 14 to 21 July 2015. It is conveniently located, both within walking distance of the train station and the main tourist attractions of the old city. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, quiet room, daily towels, a well-functioning air-conditioning, Internet, rational combination of price and quality. All you need to travelers in Florence.

My rating is actually between 3-4. The hotel room was small and quiet dark, until you open up the shutters, but then you get some noise from the street, but it was'nt too bad, even though we were on the lst floor. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was good, as you would expect, a continental breakfast. Very good location,... More

If you are planning to visit Florence and are trying to stay within a certain budget then I would recommend Hotel Eden. It is located on Via Nazionale, about 5 minutes walk away from the Santa Maria Novella train station, 2 minute walk away from the Central Market and 7 minutes away from the Duomo. Florence is a small city,... More

The main attractions in Florence are within walking distance as is the train station, restaurants and leather and apparel markets. My room was the smallest I have ever lived in but yet the most "feel at peace" experience, having all the basics in place apart from internet. A local GSM card is sold next door to the hotel so no... Great location! Walkable to everything in the city. Very close to train station. Walkable, even with big luggage. Only issue is noise, since you are close to everything. Bring earplugs in case you are not able to get a room away from the street. No frills hotel, but very clean! Staff is very helpful. Will assist with train schedules and... More

It took me nearly 40mins to figure out the hotel. Here is the direction for 8mins walk: when u exit the station, cross the road, opposite side is 24h McDonald, then walk straight to the corner, there is BATA shoes store in front of you, BATA is on Nationale, walk straight (or on your right), after 5mins you will find... Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
