I stayed here solo for 4 nights in March. Note that I was in the garden room, which is on the ground floor next to the owner's studio. Plus/minus points were: + great location. 2 min from Santa Maria Novella, 5 min from station, 10 min to central market, Cathedral, Ponte Vecchio. + good price. + fairly quiet. + good... More

We had read such good reviews and sadly we were a little disappointed. The location is good close to everything and the staff is the only reason I am giving it a 3 star as they were wonderful! But man did our room need a good scrubbing and a new coat of paint. The room was moldy and the shower... More

Stayed for three nights for a 40th birthday w/e. Having seen it recommended in a couple of respected guide books I was expecting to be really impressed, but instead was disappointed. We were given the black & white room, which is an odd layout and appears very tired. (Toilet flush sticks, paintwork peeling, soft furnishings worn). Staff were pleasant enough,... More

We stayed here for three nights on our trip. As it's mentioned, this is a guest house and not a hotel so there is not always someone at the front desk. The guest house is located about 5 minutes from the main train station and a quick walk into the major areas of Florence which was a big plus. The... More

We stayed here for one night, our last night in Italy. Location is great, easy walk to the main historic center of Florence, and very convenient access to train station and airport. Just down the street from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, which is lovely, and you can hear the church bells ringing. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are very... More

we stayed for three nights, location were perfect not to crowded but close to Piazza di Santa Maria Novella which has bell tower rang every 7 AM,perfect!, special credits for this one. And only 3-5 minutes walk to both train and bus stations very convenient, event if you go to Ponte di Vecchio only 15 minutes walk, which those ambience... More

From ringing the bell you were stepping back in time. A very old house where the first floor has been transformed in to a guest house. We had the old drawing room. Two kingsize beds, two small settees & one large settee. Chinese cabinets & marble flooring. The windows had the original wooden shutters & beautiful silk drapes. Tea &... More

My wife and I recently stayed here while honeymooning through Europe. The flat was a nice surprise. Our room was upgraded upon arrival. Comfortable bed. Nice tub. Excellent location. The shower soaps and shampoos were basically soapy water but that would be my only complaint. Overall very pleased.

Stayed in Casa Howard Firenze for 5 days and I can only write superlative reviews for this guest house. Best location along Via dela Scala, 5-10 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella Train station and right next door to Officina Profumo Santa Maria Novella and the Santa Maria Novella Church. Restaurants abound nearby and from here you can walk to... More

Casa Howard is a gem in the city of Florence. It is right in the centre of the historic part of town, right next to Santa Maria Novella. The people working at Casa Howard are lovely, they helped us getting around town. The Black and White room was beautiful, with a bath right under a window opening to Florentine streets.... More
